About Whitetail Crossing
Whitetail Crossing, also spelled White Tail Crossing, is a community of 97 custom-built single-family luxury homes with a neighborhood park in Medina, Ohio (Montville Township).
This development is located between Wadsworth and Wooster Pike Roads, off the south side of Poe Rd, across from Fox Meadow Country Club. It encompasses the streets of Antler Trl, Black Tail Ct, Deer Run Dr, Deer Tail Dr and Fawndale Dr.


Homes were built by Bridgeport Custom Homes and Windridge Homes between 2004-2021.
Building requirements stipulated a minimum square footage (excluding basements) of 2,400 square feet for 2-story homes, 2,200 for 1.5-story dwellings, and 2,000 for ranch homes.
Homes include ranch, cape cod, and colonial styles ranging from 3,800-5,800 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.
Inside, homes feature hardwood flooring, open staircases with wrought iron balusters, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings and/or millwork, private dens with built-ins, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, and second-floor lofts or bonus rooms. Two-story or vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows are open to kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center island, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, and dinette area or morning room. First or second-floor owner’s suites include trayed or vaulted ceilings, sitting areas, walk-in closets, and bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks or vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels are complete with 9′ ceilings, media rooms, billiard areas, bars, and exercise rooms. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 2 to 3 cars.
Homes have public sewer and water.
Backyards feature custom patios and/or composite decks, covered living areas, and fireplaces or fire pits.
Both above-ground and in-ground pools are permitted.
Fences and sheds are allowed. Sheds must measure between 100-240 square feet and complement the home.
Lots range from 0.52 to 1.21 acres. The majority of lots are cleared, but there are some with wooded backyards and or abutting a wooded section of greenspace.
Homes are surrounded by 26 acres of conservation land owned by the HOA (designated in yellow on above map).
Some homes abut Montville Township’s White Tail Park (bright green section on above map), located within the subdivision at 4224 Deer Run Dr. The 31-acre park offers two soccer fields, two basketball courts, four pickleball courts, restrooms, a pavilion, small playground, lake, and 1.1-miles of walking trails (paved trail encircles the soccer fields; gravel trail meanders through the woods).
Immediately south of Fawndale Dr is an outdoor shooting club.

The entrance streets of Deer Tail Dr and Fawndale Dr have a landscaped bed with masonry signage and white split-rail fencing.
All streets but Antler Trl end in a permanent cul-de-sac with a landscaped island. Antler Trl is currently a dead end, which may be extended with future development opportunities.
Unlike many of the neighborhood streets in Medina, there are both curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street.
All mailboxes are the same design and color, providing a uniform streetscape.
This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated Medina City School District.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees for Whitetail Crossing are approximately $475 annually.
Other nearby developments include Highland Meadows and Fox Meadow (across the street).

In addition to the aforementioned neighborhood park, Whitetail Park, there are numerous other outdoor recreation facilities. Austin Badger Park is 7 min away, which offers outdoor fitness stations, first-class mountain bike trails with ramps and biking accouterments, a coffee shop with mountain bike and snowshoe rental, and miles of paved trails that extend into two adjoining nature preserves. Fred Greenwood Park, with a large pavilion, walking trail, playground, and splash pad is an 8 min drive. It’s 12 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run. Lake Medina is 17 min away for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
There are a number of golf courses accessible in 20 minutes including Pleasant Valley, Bunker Hill, Loyal Oak, Pine Valley Golf Club, Ridge Top, Rawiga Golf Club, and Shale Creek Golf Club.
