About Medina Country Club Estates

Medina Country Club Estates, also called Wedge-Woods, is a community of 23 single-family homes in Medina Ohio (Lafayette Township) upon wooded 2-acre lots, many of which abut Medina Country Club golf course*. These homes were built from 1979-2017. As of late 2023, there was one lot yet to be developed.

Homes include ranch, cape cod, and colonial styles ranging from 2,300-6,000 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.

Inside, homes feature hardwood flooring, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings and/or millwork, formal living rooms and/or private dens with built-ins, large laundry rooms with utility tubs. Great rooms (some are vaulted) with fireplaces are open to kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center island, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and screened porch or sunroom. Owner’s suites include walk-in closets, and bathrooms with walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, billiard areas, bars, and exercise rooms. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars. Numerous homes also have detached garages or outbuildings.

Homes have public water and septic systems.

Backyards feature custom patios and/or composite decks, covered living areas, and fireplaces or fire pits.

Wooded homesites range from 2.0 to 4.9 acres. Some homes are completely enveloped by mature trees, offering the ultimate in seclusion.

Numerous properties have private ponds with geothermal systems.

Several homes surround a small lake at the southwest corner of the development.

*NOTE: The two golf course parcels abutting the southern half of the community are now owned by Fairway Landing HOA and are planned for future development.

This community encompasses even house numbers 6748-6928 Ryan Rd. Some homes have driveways directly off Ryan Rd; others are accessible via an L-shaped private drive off Ryan Rd (located directly north of the residence at 6928 Ryan Rd). The entrance to the private drive is flanked by landscape beds, a signage post, and split-rail fencing that continues approximately 350′ along each side of the drive.

Like most neighborhood streets in Medina, there are no curbs or sidewalks.

This neighborhood is serviced by Cloverleaf Local School District.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Medina Country Club Estates are approximately $360 quarterly.

Summit Mall and shopping center is 27 min away. Anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s, it boasts over 125 of your favorite retailers like Apple, J. Crew, Gap, and Vera Bradley as well as the restaurants you crave like First Watch, P.F. Changs and Bravo. In addition, you’ll find an abundance of shopping and dining options nearby like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kohl’s, Target, Lowe’s, and Home Depot as well as Winking Lizard Peninsula, Bomba Taco, Michael Angelo’s Winery, Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse, and more.

Nearby outdoor recreation opportunities are plentiful! The Chippewa Rail Trail trailhead, a 10-foot wide by 2.95-mile long relatively flat asphalt trail, is just around the corner on Chippewa Rd. Fred Greenwood Park, with a large pavilion, walking trail, playground, and splash pad is a 7 min drive. Austin Badger Park is 11 min away, which offers outdoor fitness stations, first-class mountain bike trails with ramps and biking accouterments, a coffee shop with mountain bike and snowshoe rental, and miles of paved trails that extend into two adjoining nature preserves. Chippewa Lake for motorized water sports is a 10 min drive.

There are a number of golf courses accessible in 20 minutes or less including Bunker Hill, Ridge Top, Rawiga Golf  Club, Loyal Oak, Pine Valley Golf Club, and Shale Creek Golf Club.
