Champion Creek, aka Champion Creek Farms, is a prestigious community of roughly 52 single-family luxury homes in Medina, Ohio (Montville Township). This subdivision is located 0.6 miles west of River Styx Rd, off the south side of E Smith Rd, and encompasses the main/entrance street of Champion Creek Blvd and the cul-de-sac street of Clay Mountain Dr.
Homes were custom-built from 1989-2005, with the most recent home constructed in 2019.
Homes include two-story and ranch styles ranging from 3,600-7,900 square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 3-6.5+ bathrooms.
Facades include styles of stately full brick (some boast a full brick surround!), combinations of stone/brick & cedar, Tudor, Queen Anne, and even an authentic reproduction of the Parson Joseph Capen House in Topsfield, Mass.
Inside, these exquisite homes feature hardwood flooring, two-story foyers with curved or turned staircases, multiple fireplaces, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living rooms and/or private dens, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, and second-floor bonus rooms. Six homes along the north end of Champion Creek Blvd enjoy serene water views over large shared ponds.
A significant rock-lined stream flows across Champion Creek Blvd and numerous lots have intersecting creeks, offering rolling topography.
The stunning entrance to Champion Creek Blvd is flanked on either side by masonry signage, lush landscape beds, mature trees, acorn-style streetlights, and white crossbuck fencing that continues along the front of the community. The elegant boulevard-style entrance is decorated with a series of elongated landscaped medians in the center of the street.
The west end of Clay Mountain Dr has a landscaped cul-de-sac, which abuts forested greenspace owned by Brook Hollow Preserve’s HOA; its east side is currently a dead end with potential for future development.
As with many neighborhood streets in Medina, there are no curbs or sidewalks.
Mail is conveniently delivered to mailboxes at the end of each driveway.
POWER LINES: While the utility lines for this community are all underground, there are wooden pole transmission lines that cross the north end of the community for those with sensitivities or concerns about visual encumbrance.
RAILWAY: The south end of this development borders the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad, which may cause noise disturbances during daily freight service.
This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated Medina City School District.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Champion Creek are approximately $600 annually.

Austin Badger Park is 4 min away, which offers outdoor fitness stations, first-class mountain bike trails with ramps and biking accouterments, a coffee shop with mountain bike and snowshoe rental, and miles of paved trails that extend into two adjoining nature preserves. It’s 8 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run. Lake Medina is 10 min away for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing. Fred Greenwood Park, with a large pavilion, walking trail, playground, and splash pad is an 11 min drive.
