Valley City is a very small town located in central Liverpool Township along the northwest corner of Medina County Ohio.

Valley City Attractions
Valley City is known for being “The Frog Jump Capital of Ohio.” The contest began in 1962 as a kid’s activity during the Sesquicentennial (150th) Celebration of Valley City. Today, the contest is held every summer at the annual Frog Jump Festival at Mill Stream Park. The festival features local Valley City food vendors, a beer & wine garden, Quaker Steak & Lube wing eating contest, live music, corn hole, children’s games with prizes, a bounce house, face painting, a rideable train, and bubble soccer.
The 25-acre Mill Stream Park is nestled along the bank of the Rocky River and includes a play structure, basketball court, large pavilion, and a paved .7-mile all-purpose trail encircling the park’s meadow. It’s also the launch site of the Fourth of July fireworks.
Residents also enjoy events including a Halloween Parade and Christmas in the Valley – a daylong event w a community sing-a-long, cookie decorating, music, performances, vendors, horse-drawn wagon rides, tree lighting/decorating contest, and a visit from Santa.
Valley City Farmers Market is located at Valley City Train Depot and is held every Saturday, starting the first Saturday of June through October.
Jilbert Winery and Brewery is a family-owned and operated boutique winery and brewery specializing in the production of premium Ohio grape and honey-based wines and beer. The winery is housed in a historic dairy barn built in 1905, which has been converted into an intimate dining room for special events complete with a double fireplace, chandeliers, and a hanging wooden horse cart. The property also includes a historic house with a tasting room, gift shop, sunroom, and an enclosed patio.
Golfers are within minutes of Coppertop Golf Club and about 10 minutes from Columbia Hills Country Club. A dozen other golf courses are accessible within 20 minutes.
