About Deer Hollow
Deer Hollow is a single-street community by Drees Homes with sixteen single-family homes on 1-acre lots in Liverpool Township of Valley City, Ohio. This subdivision is located off the west side of Columbia Road, 0.3 miles south of Neff Road, and encompasses Merlin Dr and two homes on Columbia Rd (house numbers 2630 & 2632).
Homes were constructed between 2022-2023.
Facades are similarly styled as Craftsman/modern farmhouse accented with a combination of mixed-texture siding profiles, brick/stone accents, white rake board/fascia trim, and/or gable accents. Each has a covered front entryway, some with extended front porches for seating that welcomes casual chats with neighbors.
Drees Homes offered nine semi-customizable floorplans including ranch and two-story styles. These homes range from 2,700-4,200 square feet (excluding finished basements) with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.
Amenities in Deer Hollow homes include hardwood flooring, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, garage entryway benches/cubbies, and private dens and/or formal dining rooms. Great rooms (some are vaulted or two-story) with fireplaces are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center island, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, dinette area or morning room, and even sunrooms or screened porches. Spacious owner’s suites (some are first-floor) include walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed commodes. Optional finished lower levels offer even more living space with media rooms, bars, billiard areas, and exercise rooms. Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Homes are serviced by public water and sewer.
Backyards feature stamped patios and/or composite decks and even covered living areas.
Homesites are approximately 120′ wide and range from 1.0 to 1.3 acres.
Previously used as agricultural land, lots are flat and cleared, permitting wide-open vistas. Additional privacy is achieved with strategically planted trees.
Several lots have private ponds.
The entrance to Merlin Dr is flanked on the right by a landscaped bed with masonry community signage.
Mail is delivered to the cluster box unit near the entrance.
As with most neighborhood streets in Valley City, there are no curbs or sidewalks along Merlin Dr.
Merlin Dr currently ends in a temporary cul-de-sac to allow for future development opportunities to the west.
Deer Hollow is serviced by Buckeye Local School District. The school campus is conveniently 4 minutes south on Columbia Rd.
There are no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Deer Hollow.
Other nearby developments include Spring Valley (in Medina) across the street.

The subdivision of Deer Hollow is located off the west side of Columbia Road, 0.3 miles south of Neff Road in Liverpool Township, Valley City, Ohio.
Highways are accessible in 15 min to I-71 and 20 min to I-271.
Medina’s commercial district with restaurants, grocery, drug stores, banking, and shops including Target, Walmart, Staples, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Kohl’s, and Marshalls is just an 11 min drive. Its historic square is 13 min away. Brunswick is an 11-min drive for conveniences like banking, grocery, drug stores, salons, retail, fast food, and local dining favorites including Cozumel, Larb Thai, Ohio Pie, and Winking Lizard.
SouthPark Mall in Strongsville and Summit Mall in Fairlawn are 24 and 33 min, respectively.

Memorial Park is 13 min away with a large wooden playground that looks like a castle, swings, Frisbee golf, a dog park, and an outdoor public swimming pool. Lake Medina is 15 min away for walking trails, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
Numerous golf courses are accessible in 10 minutes or less, including Cosset Creek, Bunker Hill, Coppertop, Pleasant Valley, and Shale Creek.
