About Columbia Station Ohio
Columbia Station, also known as Columbia Township, is located in Lorain County Ohio roughly 24 miles (30 minutes) southwest of downtown Cleveland. It is the easternmost of Lorain County‘s eighteen townships.
Surrounding suburbs include Olmsted Township, Olmsted Falls, Berea, Strongsville, Brunswick Hills, Liverpool Township, Grafton Township, Eaton Township, and North Ridgeville.
Founded in 1807, Columbia was the first continuously inhabited settlement in Lorain County.
Today, with a population of roughly 7,300, Columbia Station is a somewhat small town offering residents a quiet rural country atmosphere. It is a close-knit, traditional community with a comfortable hometown feel.
Columbia Station is a great location for families looking for a good community to raise children. The Lorain County Metro Parks’ Columbia Reservation has 425-acres characterized by open scenic views transversed by The Rocky River, numerous lakes and ponds, kayak/canoe access, 4 miles of trails, a playground, 18-hole mini-golf course, picnic shelters, a pizzeria & ice cream parlor, and an outdoor movie theatre.

During the fall, Rockin-R-Ranch equestrian farm transforms into Spooky Ranch with four haunted houses and haunted hayrides. They also host an Annual Old West Pumpkin Fest featuring a pumpkin patch, live musical stage shows, face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, and zombie paintball.
Red Wagon Farm’s annual Pumpkin Festival features attractions like a 5-acre corn maze, sunflower field, straw jump, straw bale maze, corn kernel pit, and lawn games including a 9-hole footgolf course, Jenga, ladder toss, Four Across, corn hole, and checkers board.
