About North Royalton, Ohio
North Royalton is a medium-sized suburb of Cleveland, located along the southern border of Cuyahoga County, Ohio. With a population of about 30,444, living in North Royalton offers residents a dense suburban feel.
It is bordered to the west by Strongsville, to the north by Parma, to the east by Broadview Heights, and to the south by the township of Hinckley in Medina County.
Well situated between Cleveland and Akron, North Royalton has a prime location to major highways (I-71, I-77, I-271, and I-480) and a plethora of shopping, dining & recreation in neighboring cities. You can get to just about anywhere you need within 30 minutes.
North Royalton is a family-friendly place to live. With an enviable combination of good schools, low crime (ranked as the #12 Safest City in Ohio according to Safewise.com), college-educated neighbors who tend to support education, and a high rate of homeownership in predominantly single-family properties, North Royalton has many features that families look for when choosing a good community to raise children.
The roads in the city are well maintained – unlike the pothole-ridden suburbs surrounding downtown – and the major roadway, State Route 82 (Royalton Road), has been recently expanded and repaved.

Nine percent of North Royalton is made up of parkland, which consists of the Cleveland Metroparks, a skate park, two basketball courts, six tennis courts, five soccer fields and nine baseball fields.
North Royalton also has a newer YMCA, built in 2012. It features a gymnasium with premium free-weights and exercise equipment, cycling studio, yoga studio, an elevated 1/12 mile walking/running track, two-court basketball gymnasium, an aquatics center, and an outdoor playground.
For family entertainment, head to Divot’s Sports Bar with a driving range, batting cages, sand volleyball courts, and a soft-serve ice cream shop.
The city offers the convenience of various public institutions like grocery, hardware/paint, pharmacy, public library, post office, UPS, and Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
There are also several locally-owned businesses including Northeast Ohio’s famous chocolate and candy shop, Malley’s Chocolates, and the city’s first brewery, Blue Monkey Brewing Co.
