About Willow Lake Reserve in North Royalton
Willow Lake Reserve is a single-street community of 20 homes near North Royalton City Schools and the Metroparks’ Valley Parkway Connector Trail. Homes were built from 1999-2002 by Fireside Builders.
Traditionally styled facades include stately full-brick or partial brick.
The ranch, cape cod, and colonial homes range from 2,300-4,200 square feet, with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5–3.5 bathrooms.
Inside, homes are appointed with two-story foyers, hardwood flooring, first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, private dens and/or formal living rooms, and fireplaced great rooms (some are vaulted or two-story) that open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, center islands, pantry, and dinettes area with slider access to decks/patios. First or second-floor owner’s suites have walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, jetted tubs, and dual sink vanities. Second levels have lofts. Finished lower levels include media rooms, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Cleared homesites are mostly sized at 0.36 acres, with two slightly larger lots measuring 0.44 and 0.45 acres. Some homes abut a treeline for privacy from abutting properties.
The entrance is off Ridge Rd via Willow Lake Dr. It is flanked on the right by a common area plot (yellow area on above map) with a landscaped bed and fountained pond. In the center of the street is a divided median with landscaping and masonry signage.
Willow Lake Dr has curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street.
In addition to Willow Lake Dr, this subdivision also includes one home on Ridge Rd (house number 15425).
With only one entrance and no connection to another development, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.
For those with sensitivities or concerns about visual encumbrance, extra-high-voltage (EHV) steel pole transmission lines run along the southern end of the community. There is also a power station (purple plot on map) directly east at 6359 Akins Rd.
This development is served by North Royalton City Schools. Sidewalks leading up to the Middle and High Schools are a 12 min walk or 1 min drive; Elementary School is a 2 min drive.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees are approximately $350 annually.

Convenient Location
Willow Lake Reserve is in southeast North Royalton off Ridge Rd, between Akins Rd and I-80/Turnpike.
The south end of the development is roughly 350 feet from I-80/Turnpike, which subjects it to interstate noise.
Highways are accessible in 10 min to I-71, 11 min to I-77, and 13 min to I-80/Turnpike.
You are conveniently located just 3 min drive to downtown North Royalton with grocery, gas station, post office, fast food, and banking.
SouthPark Mall and Strongsville’s bustling retail sector is 12 min west.
Memorial Park, a 3 min drive, includes a skate park; baseball fields; tennis, pickleball, basketball and volleyball courts; shelters and picnic areas; a splash pad; and an all-purpose trail.
Exercise enthusiasts will appreciate being just a 5 min walk from the Metroparks’ Valley Parkway Connector Trail with Stuhr Woods Picnic Area being an 8 min walk. Heading east, the trail connects to Brecksville Reservation and the 81-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. To the west, it leads through Mill Stream Run Reservation all the way to Rocky River Reservation.
Additional outdoor recreation opportunities are plentiful! The Metroparks Mill Stream Run Reservation in Strongsville is an 8 min drive with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. Brecksville Reservation, a 12 min drive, is the largest of the 18 Cleveland Metroparks reservations, offering excellent trails with scenic gorges and waterfalls. The Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is also a 12 min drive with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March.
The North Royalton YMCA is 6 min north, featuring a gymnasium with premium free-weights and exercise equipment, cycling studio, yoga studio, an elevated 1/12 mile walking/running track, two-court basketball gymnasium, aquatics center, and an outdoor playground.
Golfers are ideally located within 6-12 minutes from Briarwood, 9 min to Hinckley Hills, Seneca,Ironwood, Valleaire, Sleepy Hollow, and Pine Hills.
