About Stone Ridge in Columbia Station

Stone Ridge (aka Stone Ridge Estates or Stone Ridge Lake Estates) in Columbia Station Ohio is an upscale community of 29 homesites upon 2+ acre lots with geothermal loop heating and cooling.

Homes were built from 2006-2022 by Gill Design Group and Garland New Homes.

The ranch and two-story homes of Stone Ridge mainly range from 3,400-9,800 square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5+ bathrooms. 

Facades are styled as traditional full brick or modern farmhouse/contemporary cottage accented with brick or stone.

Amenities include hardwood flooring, laundry rooms with cabinets and utility tubs, garage entryways with cubbies/benches, two-story foyers, formal living/flex rooms and/or private dens, formal dining rooms, and fireplaced great rooms with volume ceilings that are open to kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and even sunrooms. First or second-floor owner’s suites offer tray ceilings, walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with soaking/jetted tubs and/or walk-in showers, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed commodes. Second floors include lofts or bonus/activity rooms. Finished lower levels are complete with bars, kitchens, media rooms, billiard rooms, and/or gyms. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars.

Homes have public water and septic systems.

Each home has geothermal loop heating and cooling system (a money-saving, environmentally-friendly renewable energy source).

Outdoor living is enhanced with decks and/or patios, fireplaces or fire pits, and even above or in-ground pools.

Homesites mainly range from 2.0 to 2.78 acres, but there are a few larger lots measuring 3.66 to 5.49 acres. There are two partially wooded lots, but the remaining are cleared.

Homes along the perimeter of the community abut wooded neighboring parcels. The south side backs to 31.62 acres of Certified Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) private forest land.

The entrance street of Glencove Trl is located south of Sprague Rd, off the west side of Station Rd. The entrance is flanked by curved stone retaining walls with signage and evergreen trees.

In addition to Glencove Trl, this development also includes Springfield Cir, and three homes on Station Rd (house numbers 10228, 10496 & 10550).

Its streets have lantern-style street lights and curbs, but true to country living, no sidewalks.

With no connection to another subdivision, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.

Post is delivered to the mailbox unit near the entrance.

It is served by the highly-rated Olmsted Falls City Schools.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Stone Ridge are approximately $300 annually.

Comparable nearby communities include Cobblestone (across the street).

The development of Stone Ridge is in northwest Columbia Station near the border of Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Township. It is located off the west side of Station Rd, 0.3 miles south of Sprague Rd.

Highways are accessible in 11 min to both I-80/Turnpike and I-480, and 16 min to I-71.

Great Northern Mall and North Olmsted’s bustling retail sector is a 14-min drive.

There are plenty of nearby recreational opportunities. The city’s Columbia Township Park (7 min drive) is home to ball fields, tennis and basketball courts, a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, pavilions, a playground, and a walking path. The park also hosts various events year-round. You are also 7 min from Lorain County Metro Parks’ Columbia Reservation with 425 acres characterized by open scenic views transversed by The Rocky River, numerous lakes and ponds, kayak/canoe access, 4 miles of trails, a playground, 18-hole mini-golf course, picnic shelters, a pizzeria & ice cream parlor, and an outdoor movie theatre. It’s 15 min to Cleveland Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation with extensive trails, Wallace Lake and beach, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. 

Swings-N-Things Fun Park is 8 min away – offering 13 acres of indoor and outdoor fun including two go-kart tracks, two 18-hole miniature golf courses, bumper boats, batting cages, indoor playground, a two-story game room, paintball, and homemade ice cream.

Columbia Station has three public 18-hole courses — Creekwood, Hickory Nut, and Royal Crest — as well as a 36-hole course at Mallard Creek.

If you are looking for private club membership, the country club of Columbia Hills (11 min drive) has catered to the area’s residents since 1929.
