About River Glen in Columbia Station
River Glen in northeast Columbia Station Ohio is a single-street community of 16 homes upon 1+ acre lots. Homes were built by Gill Construction from 1999-2005.
This development includes two-story styles ranging from 3,400-6,100 square feet with 4-5 bedrooms and 3.5-5.5 bathrooms.
Facades are traditionally styled with brick and/or stone.
River Glen homes include hardwood flooring, laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, private dens, formal dining rooms, and two-story great rooms with fireplaces that are open to kitchens featuring quartz or granite countertops, tile backsplash, walk-in pantry, and dining area. First floor owner’s suites feature walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, jetted/soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are available with recreation rooms, wet bars, exercise rooms, and bathrooms. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 3-7 cars. Outdoor living is enhanced by patios and/or decks and fire pits.
Homes have septic systems and public water.
Cleared homesites range from 1 to 4.32 acres. Most of the community’s perimeter is surrounded by a treeline. Additional privacy is achieved with plantings.
The Rocky River West Branch flows along the western property line of the four cul-de-sac lots, offering opportunities for on-site fishing and wildlife viewing.
There is one entrance from E River Rd via River Glen Dr. The entrance is flanked by landscaped beds with curved masonry walls and white crossbuck fending, which extends across the front of the community.
River Glen Dr has lantern-style street lights. There are no curbs or sidewalks, but there is a gravel walkway along each side of the street.
It is not connected to any other subdivision so traffic is limited to residents and their guests.
This community is served by Columbia Local School District.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at River Glen are approximately $350 annually.
To the south is the subdivision of Copopa Village.

The development of River Glen is in northeast Columbia Station near the border of Strongsville. It is located off E River Rd, just north of Snell Rd.
Highways are accessible in 13 min to I-480, 14 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 15 min to I-71.
Strongsville’s bustling retail sector with SouthPark Mall and North Olmsted’s retail district and Great Northern mall are both a 14-min drive.
There are plenty of nearby recreational opportunities. The park also hosts various events year-round. You are 6 min from Lorain County Metro Parks’ Columbia Reservation with 425-acres characterized by open scenic views transversed by The Rocky River, numerous lakes and ponds, kayak/canoe access, 4 miles of trails, a playground, 18-hole mini-golf course, picnic shelters, a pizzeria & ice cream parlor, and an outdoor movie theatre. It’s 11 min to Cleveland Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation with extensive trails, Wallace Lake and beach, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter.
Swings-N-Things Fun Park is 12 minutes away – offering 13 acres of indoor and outdoor fun including two go-kart tracks, two 18-hole miniature golf courses, bumper boats, batting cages, indoor playground, a two-story game room, paintball, and homemade ice cream.
Columbia Station has three public 18-hole courses — Creekwood, Hickory Nut, and Royal Crest — as well as a 36-hole course at Mallard Creek.
If you are looking for private club membership, the country club of Columbia Hills (6 min drive) has catered to the area’s residents since 1929.
