About Western Reserve Homestead
Western Reserve Homestead is a community of roughly 42 homes in eastern Medina, Ohio (Granger Township), located near the southwest corner of Granger Rd and Boneta Rd. This development encompasses Seymour Dr, the cul-de-sac street of Old Lyme Ct, seven lots on Windfall Rd, and a few homes on Granger and Boneta Roads.
Homes were constructed from 2003-2019 and mainly range from 2,200-6,600 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5+ bathrooms.
Inside, homes feature hardwood flooring, two-story foyers with turned staircases, two-story or vaulted great rooms with fireplaces, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living rooms or four season rooms, private dens, and large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets. Kitchens feature granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, and dinette area. Owner’s suites include walk-in closets and bathrooms with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels are complete with media rooms, bars, and exercise rooms. Homes offer attached 2-3 car side-entry garages.
Homes are serviced by well water and septic systems.
Backyards feature patios and/or composite decks, covered porches, and fireplaces or fire pits.
Homesites are approximately 175′ wide and generally measure around 2 acres. There are also a few larger lots from 3.1 to 6.9 acres.
Formerly cropland, the level terrain and cleared lots provide wide-open vistas and is suitable for pools, gardens, playsets and lawn games.
Wolf Creek meanders through backyards along the west side of Seymour Dr.
The entrance street of Seymour Dr is accessible from both Granger Rd and Boneta Rd. The Granger Rd entrance is flanked on the left side by a landscape bed with mature trees, garden stones, and stacked stone signage.
As with the majority of Medina streets, there are no curbs or sidewalks.
With homes in clear view from the street, the development has an open feel to it.
This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Western Reserve Homestead are approximately $200 annually.

The subdivision of Western Reserve Homestead is in eastern Medina, Ohio (Granger Township), near the southwest corner of Granger and Boneta Roads.
Highways are accessible in 6 min to I-71, 7 min to I-271, 12 min to I-77, and 20 min to I-80/Turnpike.

You’re just 4 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run. The 150-acre Granger Wetlands Wildlife Sanctuary is just a 5 min drive. Also only 5 min away is Lake Medina for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing. Just 10 min away is Allardale Park with hiking and equestrian trails, a picnic shelter and indoor lodge. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is 12 min away with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. Richfield Heritage Preserve is 17 min away, offering 336 wooded acres with hiking trails that include a portion of the Buckeye Trail, winding streams, two lakes for fishing and non-motorized watersports, and a horse barn with five miles of bridle trails. Bath Nature Preserve is a 20 min drive with hiking and equestrian trails, two ponds for catch-and-release fishing, sled riding, and cross country skiing. The 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park, which includes the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad is 20 min away.
If you’re a golfer, there are a number of golf courses accessible in 20 minutes or less including Hinckley Hills, Pleasant Valley, Ironwood, Briarwood, Bunker Hill, Seneca, and Sleepy Hollow. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re 8 min to Weymouth Country Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 25 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
