About Plantation South
Plantation South is a community of twelve custom-built luxury homes in eastern Medina, Ohio (Granger Township), located 0.3 miles south of Granger Rd off the west side of State Rd, comprising the south end and cul-de-sac of Huntley Dr (house numbers 722-747).
These homes are accessible through the adjoining subdivision of Carter Huntley’s Plantation.
Fun fact: Huntley Dr and the adjoining subdivision are named after Carter Huntley (1830-1904), who became a leading agriculturalist and livestock dealer in Granger Township, owning nearly 340 acres of land.


Plantation South homes were constructed between 2000-2004, with the final home built in 2019.
They range from 3,700-6,200+ square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 3.5-5 bathrooms.
Inside, homes are exquisitely appointed with hardwood or LVP flooring, dramatic two-story foyers with turned staircases, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living rooms and/or private dens, and second-floor bonus rooms or lofts. Owner’s suites include vaulted or trayed ceilings, sitting areas, walk-in closets, and spa-like bathrooms with custom tiled walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, bars, kitchenettes, wine cellars, and exercise rooms.
Homes are serviced by well water and septic systems.
Attached side-entry garages accommodate 2-4 cars. Many homes also have detached garages for additional parking.
Backyards feature professionally designed gardens, patios and/or composite decks, fireplaces or fire pits, and even in-ground pools.
Homesites measure 2.0 to 3.1 acres, which may be cleared, lightly treed, or partially to heavily wooded offering enhanced privacy and lush views.
Numerous homes have wooded or treed front and/or side yards, so that homes are partially to fully obstructed from street view and neighboring homes.
A stream crosses the backyards of two homes along the southern end of the cul-de-sac.
As with most Medina streets, there are no curbs or sidewalks along Huntley Dr.
Mail is conveniently delivered to mailboxes at the end of each driveway.
There are no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees.
To the south of the cul-de-sac is Lang Farm Estates.
This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.

Location & Nearby Amenities
The subdivision of Plantation South is in eastern Medina, Ohio (Granger Township), located off the west side of State Rd, 0.3 miles south of Granger Rd.
Highways are accessible in 9 min to I-77, 10 min to I-71 and I-271, and 20 min to I-80/Turnpike.
Montrose’s commercial district is just 8 min east for a plethora of dining options, grocers, and retailers including Home Depot, Lowe’s, Hobby Lobby, T. J. Maxx, Walmart, World Market, Staples, and JCPenney.
Summit Mall and shopping center is only 10 min away. Anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s, it boasts over 125 of your favorite retailers like Apple, J. Crew, Gap, and Vera Bradley as well as the restaurants you crave like First Watch, P.F. Changs and Bravo. In addition, you’ll find an abundance of shopping and dining options nearby like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kohl’s, Target, Lowe’s, and Home Depot as well as Winking Lizard Peninsula, Bomba Taco, Michael Angelo’s Winery, Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse, and more.
Local outdoor recreation amenities are plentiful! The 150-acre Granger Wetlands Wildlife Sanctuary is just a 5 min drive. Just 6 min away is Allardale Park with hiking and equestrian trails, a picnic shelter and indoor lodge. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is 8 min away with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges. Hinckley Reservation is also home to the annual festival known as Buzzard’s Day, which celebrates the return of the turkey vulture to the area around mid-March. You’re 10 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run. Bath Nature Preserve is a 13 min drive with hiking and equestrian trails, two ponds for catch-and-release fishing, sled riding, and cross country skiing.
Private pilots are only 7 min from Medina Municipal Airport.
Golfers have numeous courses accessible in 20 minutes or less including Hinckley Hills, Pleasant Valley, Ironwood, Briarwood, Bunker Hill, Seneca, and Sleepy Hollow. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re 8 min to The Sharon Golf Club and 15 min to Weymouth Country Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 25 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
A concert at Blossom Music Center is 30 min away.
