About Whispering Woods
Whispering Woods is a picturesque community of 55 luxury homes in central Medina Township, Ohio with a small lake and adjacent forested parkland. It is located between Fenn Rd and Weymouth Rd, off the west side of Huffman Rd, opposite Weymouth Country Club. The development encompasses the cul-de-sac streets of Sunset Dr, Williamsburg Ct, Colonial Ct, and Mallard Bay.

These ranch and two-story homes were custom-built from 1988-2015. Builders include Artisan Building & Design and Hudak Custom Builders.
Whispering Woods homes range from 3,000-6,000 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5 bathrooms.
Inside, these exquisitely appointed homes feature hardwood flooring, two-story foyers with coat closets and curved or turned staircases, solid core doors, crown moulding, custom built-ins, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living/sitting rooms and/or private dens, and second-floor lofts or bonus rooms. Great rooms (some are vaulted or two-story) with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center island, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, dinette area/morning room, and even sunrooms or screened porches. Spacious owner’s suites (some first-floor) include vaulted or tray ceilings, sitting areas, walk-in closets, and bathrooms with walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed commodes. Finished lower levels (many have daylight windows or are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, billiard areas, kitchenettes, bars, wine cellars, workshops, and exercise rooms. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 2.5-3 cars.
All homes have public water and sewer.
Professionally designed backyards feature lush landscaping, custom patios and/or composite decks, covered living areas, pergolas, built-in grills, water features, and fireplaces or fire pits.
Lightly treed to wooded homesites generally range from 0.55 to 1.53 acres. There are also a few larger lots measuring 2.77 and 3.12 acres, the latter of which has a private tennis court and pond.
Eleven properties between Mallard Bay and the cul-de-sac of Williamsburg Ct surround an elongated lake, many of which have added lakefront patios and/or docks for scenic views and enjoyment of stand-up paddleboarding, row boating or paddle-boating.

The west and south sides of the development abut several hundred acres of forested parkland (green sections on above map) for added seclusion and endless views of nature. The Huffman Park property bordering this community to the immediate south includes a densely wooded section with mountain bike trails. Directly west/southwest is densely forested passive parkland.
The entrance street of Sunset Dr has a landscaped median in the center of the street with signage.
All streets ends in a permanent cul-de-sac with a landscaped island, nicely enhancing the streetscape.
As with most neighborhood streets in Medina, there are no curbs or sidewalks.
This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated Medina City School District.
There are no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Whispering Woods.
The cul-de-sac of Mallard Bay abuts Deerfield Farms, and is connected via an emergency access drive.
Other nearby developments include Weymouth Woods (across the street) and Weymouth Crossing and Weymouth Woods (across the street).

Lake Medina is 4 min away for walking trails, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing. Memorial Park is a 9 min drive, offering a large wooden playground that looks like a castle, swings, Frisbee golf, a dog park, and an outdoor public swimming pool. It’s 11 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run.
The Medina Community Recreation Center is 7 min away, which includes a fitness center, a four-lane track, field house with four multipurpose courts, indoor competition pool and leisure pool with play structures and sprays, a whirlpool, and locker room.
