About Odesa
Odesa, sometimes misspelled as Odessa, is a heavily wooded community of 20 custom-built homes in northeast Medina, Ohio (Granger Township), located off the south side of Weymouth Rd, 0.7 miles west of Stony Hill Rd. This development encompasses the cul-de-sac street of Odesa Dr, one home on Aldo Dr, one home at 2456 Ledge Rd, and two homes along Weymouth Rd (house numbers 2476 & 2729).
Other than the first home built in 1970, residences were constructed from 1996-2008.
Homes in Odesa primarily range from 3,000-5,600 square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 3.5-5 bathrooms.
Inside, homes feature hardwood or LVP flooring, laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, two-story foyers with curved or turned staircases, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living rooms and/or private dens, and vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center island, breakfast bars, walk-in pantry, and dinette area. Owner’s suites include walk-in closets and bathrooms with walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, bars, exercise rooms, and stairs to the garage.
Odesa homes have well water and septic systems.
Attached side or rear-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars. A number of homes also have detached garages.
Backyards extend living outdoors with maintenance-free decks and or patios and firepits.
Odesa homesites range from 2.0 to 3.2 acres. There is also one home on two lots totaling 4 acres.
Offering the ultimate in privacy, nearly every home is completely enveloped by deciduous forest and not visible from the street or its neighbors. These heavily wooded lots provide shade, lush views, and surround the home with soothing birdsong.
Several small tributary streams to the Rocky River West Branch flow across the community (dashed blue lines on map below), offering rolling topography.
Aldo Dr is currently a stub street, which could be extended with future development opportunities.
As with the majority of Medina subdivisions, Odesa has no curbs or sidewalks.
⚡POWER LINES: Distribution power lines run just beyond the properties along the east side of Odesa Dr, for those concerned about visual encumbrance.
This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Highland Local School District along with bussing to St. Albert the Great School and the prestigious Old Trail School.
There are no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Odesa.
