Montville Lakes is a wooded, beautifully manicured community of roughly 150 homes in Medina, Ohio (Montville Township) with greenspace, sidewalks, streetlights, public sewer & water, and direct access to adjacent nature preserves.
This subdivision is located off the south side of Ridgewood Rd, between River Styx and Windfall Roads, comprising Alyssa Ln, Arlyne Ln, Arielle Ct, Debra Ct, Gary Kyle Ct, Marla Ct, Montville Lakes Blvd, and the west end of Robert Gary Ct (up to house number 2935).

Montville Lakes single-family homes were constructed beginning in 1995.
These ranch, 1.5-story and 2-story homes range from 2,300-4,900 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.
Inside, you’ll find hardwood or LVP flooring, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, private dens and/or formal living rooms, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, and fireplaced great rooms (some two-story) that open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bars, and dinette areas. Owner’s suites include walk-in closets and bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, and dual sinks/vanities. Second floors may have lofts or bonus rooms. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, billiard rooms, bars, and exercise rooms.
Homes are serviced by public water and sewer.
Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Backyards feature patios and/or composite decks and fireplaces or fire pits.
Homesites are sized from 0.41 to 1.0 acres, offering varied landscape including cleared lots for open vistas or lightly treed and wooded backyards for enhanced privacy.
Some homes abut HOA-owned greenspace (designated in yellow on above map), much of it wooded.
A tributary of the West Branch of the Rocky River and several other creeks intersect this development, offering scenic rolling topography.
A paved trail off the south side of Arlyne Ln leads to the adjoining nature preserves (designated in green on above and below map) with exercise stations, paved trails, and mountain bike trails.

There are two entrances to this community via Montville Lakes Blvd and Arlyne Ln. The spectacular main entrance on Montville Lakes Blvd is flanked on either side by large landscape beds with curved brick walls and a backdrop of mature pines. In the center of the street is a divided median with masonry signage, ornamental trees and gorgeous plantings.

The winding streetscape is enhanced by street trees and lantern-style streetlights.
Unlike the majority of Medina streets, this community has both curbs and sidewalks throughout.
Arielle Ct, Debra Ct, Gary Kyle Ct and Marla Ct offer cul-de-sac lots.
The development was recently connected via an extension of Robert Gary Ct to the new subdivision of Windfall Estates, which has its own entrance off Ridgewood Rd.
🔊NOISE: With I-71 roughly 300 feet from the west side of the subdivision and the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad near the southern end, this subdivision may experience noise disturbances.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Montville Lakes are approximately $500 annually.
This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Highland Local School District.

You’re 8 min to Oenslager Nature Center at Alderfer-Chatfield Wildlife Sanctuary with five trails totaling close to three miles. The 150-acre Granger Wetlands Wildlife Sanctuary is an 11 min drive. Lake Medina is also 11 min away for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is 15 min away with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges.
Private pilots are only 7 min to Medina Municipal Airport!
Golfers have a number of golf courses accessible in 20 minutes or less including Hinckley Hills, Ironwood, Pine Hills, Pine Valley, Pleasant Valley, Rawiga Golf Club, and Ridge Top. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re 9 min to The Sharon Golf Club, 10 min to Fox Meadow Country Club, 14 min to Weymouth Country Club, and 19 min to St. Bernard Golf Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 25 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
