About Montville Lakes
Montville Lakes is a community of roughly 150 homes in Medina Ohio (Montville Township) with an adjacent nature preserve. Homes were constructed from 1995-2017.
The colonial, cape cod, and ranch homes of Montville Lakes mainly range from 2,300-4,900 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.
Inside, homes feature hardwood flooring, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, private dens and/or formal living rooms, large laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, and second-floor lofts or bonus rooms. Great rooms (some two-story) with fireplaces are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar seating, and dinette area. Owner’s suites include walk-in closets and bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, and dual sinks/vanities. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, billiard rooms, bars, and exercise rooms. Homes offer attached 2-3 car front or side-entry garages.
Homes have public water and sewer.
Backyards feature patios and/or composite decks and fireplaces or fire pits.
Lightly treed to wooded lots are sized from .41 to 1.0 acre.
A number of homes abut common area owned by the HOA (designated in yellow on above map), much of it wooded.
In addition to several creeks in this development, an offshoot of the West Branch of the Rocky River crosses several backyards on Debra Ct.
On the south side of Arlyne Ln, just west of the intersection with Montville Lakes Blvd, is a tree-lined path leading to the adjoining nature preserves to the west, south, and southwest (designated in green on above and below map) with exercise stations, paved trails, and mountain bike trails.
There are two entrances to this community via Montville Lakes Blvd and Arlyne Ln. The spectacular main entrance on Montville Lakes Blvd is flanked on either side by large landscape beds with curved brick walls and a backdrop of mature pines. In the center of the street is a divided median with masonry signage, ornamental trees and gorgeous plantings.
In addition to the main/entrance streets, this community also includes Alyssa Ln, Arielle Ct, Debra Ct, Gary Kyle Ct, Marla Ct, and Robert Gary Ct.
The northwest corner of this development is the Clusters of Montville Lakes.
Unlike the majority of Medina streets, this community has both curbs and sidewalks throughout. It also has lovely tree lawn saplings.
The development was recently connected via an extension of Robert Gary Ct to the new subdivision of Windfall Estates, which also has an entrance on Ridgewood Rd.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Montville Lakes are approximately $350 annually.
This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Highland Local School District.

Convenient Location
The subdivision of Montville Lakes is located in Medina Ohio (Montville Township) off Ridgewood Rd, just east of I-71.
Highways are accessible in 5 min to I-71, 7 min to I-271, 16 min to I-77, and 20 min to I-80/Turnpike. While the proximity to I-71 is convenient, it is only about 300 feet from the west side of the subdivision. Thus, the community is subjected to interstate traffic noise.
Medina’s historic square is 12 min away and its commercial district with restaurants, grocery, drug stores, banking, and shops including Target, Walmart, Staples, Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, Kohl’s, Marshalls and more is just a 15 min drive.
Summit Mall and shopping center is 20 min away. Anchored by Dillard’s and Macy’s, it boasts over 125 of your favorite retailers like Apple, J. Crew, Gap, and Vera Bradley as well as the restaurants you crave like First Watch, P.F. Changs and Bravo. In addition, you’ll find an abundance of shopping and dining options nearby like Dick’s Sporting Goods, Kohl’s, Target, Lowe’s, and Home Depot as well as Winking Lizard Peninsula, Bomba Taco, Michael Angelo’s Winery, Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse, and more.
Local outdoor recreation amenities are plentiful! It’s 5 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run. You’re 8 min to Oenslager Nature Center at Alderfer-Chatfield Wildlife Sanctuary with five trails totaling close to three miles. The 150-acre Granger Wetlands Wildlife Sanctuary is an 11 min drive. Lake Medina is also 11 min away for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing. The Cleveland Metroparks’ Hinckley Reservation is 15 min away with 2,803 acres including twenty miles of all-purpose trails, bridle trails, a 90-acre lake (Hinckley Lake) with a boathouse for water sport rentals, a beach, swimming pool, two smaller fishing ponds also used for ice fishing and skating come winter, stone carvings at Worden’s Ledges, and its most notable feature–the porous sandstone outcroppings of Whipp’s Ledges.
If you’re a golfer, there are a number of golf courses accessible in 20 minutes or less including Hinckley Hills, Ironwood, Pine Hills, Pine Valley, Pleasant Valley, Rawiga Golf Club, and Ridge Top. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re 9 min to The Sharon Golf Club, 10 min to Fox Meadow Country Club, 14 min to Weymouth Country Club, and 19 min to St. Bernard Golf Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 25 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
A concert at Blossom Music Center is 30 min away.
