About Brook Hollow Preserve
Brook Hollow Preserve, also spelled Brookhollow Preserve, is a community of roughly 53 single-family homes surrounded by extensive greenspace and adjacent forested parkland in Medina Ohio (Montville Township).
Brook Hollow Preserve is located off the south side of E Smith Rd, one mile west of River Styx Rd. It encompasses the streets of Brook Run Dr, Forest Run Cir, and Preserve Run Cir.

Homes were constructed by builders including Drees Homes, Horizon Construction, Modern Home Concepts, Pelton Design & Construction, and Sturgess Construction from 2001-2021.
Homes include two-story and ranch styles ranging from 3,300-5,200 square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 3-5 bathrooms.
Inside, homes feature hardwood flooring, two-story foyers, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living rooms and/or private dens, laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, and second-floor lofts or bonus rooms. Great rooms (many are vaulted or two-story) with fireplaces are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, soft close cabinetry, breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, and dinette area or morning room. Owner’s suites (some first-floor) include vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets, and bathrooms with walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, and dual sinks/vanities. Finished lower levels (many are coveted walkouts!) are complete with media rooms, billiard areas, bars, and exercise rooms.
Homes are served by public water and sewer.
Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Backyards feature custom patios and/or composite decks, covered living areas, and fireplaces or fire pits.

A number of homes back to the 33 acres of HOA-owned common area (designated in yellow on above map), much of it wooded, extending privacy and the serenity of nature.
Just beyond the community to the southwest is forested parkland (green areas on above map) for endless wooded views of nature.
The entrance to Brook Run Dr is flanked on the right side by masonry signage. A row of broad-leaf and evergreen trees extends along both sides of the street into the community.
With only one entrance, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.
The streets of Forest Run Cir and Preserve Run Cir each end in a cul-de-sac with a landscaped island.
Unlike many neighborhood streets in Medina, this development has curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street, as well as lovely street trees.
Mail is conveniently delivered to mailboxes at the end of each driveway.
POWER LINES: While the utility lines for this community are all underground, wooden pole distribution lines run across Brook Run Dr and Preserve Run Cir for those concerned about visual encumbrance.
NOISE: The southern end of this development borders the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad, for those concerned about noise.
This neighborhood is serviced by the highly-rated Medina City School District.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Brook Hollow Preserve are approximately $475 annually. Play structures, in-ground pools, and storage sheds are permitted on properties with prior approval and adherence to restrictions set forth by the HOA. View HOA documents.

Austin Badger Park is 5 min away, which offers outdoor fitness stations, first-class mountain bike trails with ramps and biking accouterments, a coffee shop with mountain bike and snowshoe rental, and miles of paved trails that extend into two adjoining nature preserves. It’s 10 min to Carolyn Ludwig Mugrage Park with green space, two miles of trails, a large playground, fishing pond, and a spacious fenced dog run. Fred Greenwood Park, with a large pavilion, walking trail, playground, and splash pad is an 11 min drive. Lake Medina is also 11 min away for hiking, fishing, canoeing, and cross-country skiing.
There are a number of golf courses accessible in 20 minutes or less including Bunker Hill, Loyal Oak, Pine Valley, Pleasant Valley, Rawiga Golf Club, Ridge Top, and Shale Creek.
