About Rosewood Estates in Westlake
Rosewood Estates is a custom-built community of roughly 172 single-family homes in southern Westlake, Ohio.
This subdivision is located south of Rose Rd, between Canterbury and Columbia Roads. It comprises the residential streets of Briarwood Ct, Carnation Run, Cinnamon Way, Iris Ct, Willow Run, and Woodpath Trl.
Most Rosewood Estates homes were constructed between 1981-1991 by builders including Berard Development Company, Hennie Homes, and Hickory Hills Building Company.
The final phase of homes (Phase 5) along Iris Ct and Carnation Run were built from 2001-2008 by C J Tom Builders, Oconnor Building Supply, Powermark Homes, and Vita Building & Development.
These ranch and two-story homes range from 2,200-5,100 above-grade square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-5+ bathrooms. Including finished basements, these homes can total 7,600 square feet!
Facades include Colonial Revival, Contemporary, Transitional, and Tudor architecture.
The first floors of Rosewood Estates homes typically include two-story foyers with open staircases, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private offices, fireplaced great rooms (some have vaulted or beamed ceilings), sunrooms, and kitchens with a pantry and dining area.
Most laundry rooms are on the first floor.
Owner’s suites (most are on the second level) feature a walk-in closet and en-suite bathroom with dual sinks/vanities, a walk-in shower, and soaking/jetted tub.
Finished lower levels are complete with rec rooms, bars, media/theater rooms, and/or exercise rooms. Some also have basement-to-garage staircases.
Front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
The majority of lots measure approximately 80′ wide, and range from 0.34 to 0.44 acres. There are also some larger lots (primarily in Phase 5 along Iris Ct and Carnation Run) up to 0.81 acres.
Homesites may be cleared or have treed backyards.

The main section of Rosewood Estates has two entrances: from Canterbury Rd via Cinnamon Way, and from Columbia Rd via Gessner Rd (however, the subdivision does not begin until Woodpath Trl). The entrance to Cinnamon Way is ornamented by a brick signage wall labeled “Woodpath” (named after one of the community’s early developers).
Carnation Run is a detached single-street section of the development, accessible off Columbia Rd. Its entrance is flanked by brick signage walls.
Streets are lined by lantern-style streetlights, street trees, curbs and sidewalks.
Briarwood Ct, Carnation Run, Cinnamon Way and Iris Ct have cul-de-sacs with landscaped islands.

Rosewood Estates is located along the border of North Olmsted in Westlake, Ohio, south of Rose Rd, between Canterbury Rd and Columbia Rd. This is a quiet residential section of the city, away from interstates and retail/commercial areas, with nearby parks and golf courses.
You are 8-10 min to I-480 and I-90.
Outdoor recreation is 10-12 minutes away at either Bradley Woods or Clague Park. Bradley Woods Reservation has 828 acres of dense forests, 2+ miles of hiking trails, a fishing lake with surrounding walking path, picnic pavilion, greenspace, and monarch butterfly waystation. Clague Park, which hosts the city’s 4th of July fireworks display, has ball fields/courts, picnic pavilions, walking trails, and a duck pond, and the new Westlake Aquatic Center, with five bodies of water for all ages: slide plunge pool, lazy river, activity pool, splash pad, and the main pool with diving board, climbing wall and lap area.
The city of Westlake has a very clean and modern Recreation Center. The 86-acre outdoor complex includes 2 baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, fishing pond with dock, playground, gazebo, picnic area, paved outdoor trail, and plenty of green space for your enjoyment. Inside the facility, there’s a 13,500 square foot fitness room, 2 group exercise rooms, 2 high school-sized regulation basketball courts, cycling studio, elevated rubber running track, locker rooms with saunas, childcare, and community rooms. The indoor aquatics center houses 5 pools including a lap pool, a diving well, a children’s play pool, a lazy river, and slides.
Golfers are less than 15 minutes from an array of courses: Springvale, North Olmsted Golf Club, Meadowood Golf Course, Hilliard Lakes, Red Tail, Mastick Woods, Big Met, Little Met and Bob-O-Link.
There are several private clubs within 13-17 min: Lakewood Country Club, Westwood Country Club, and Avon Oaks Country Club.
If you desire a day at the lake, it’s just 15 min to Huntington Beach!
As for retail, this community is close to both Crocker Park and Great Northern. Great Northern Mall & Plaza (5 min) features a wide selection of retail and dining. The sprawling, open-air collection of restaurants, retail and entertainment at Crocker Park (10 min) includes the best shopping on the west side of Cleveland!
