Clubside in Westlake Ohio is a single street community of 11 single-standing limited-maintenance cluster homes adjacent to Westwood Country Club. These cape cod (1.5 stories) condos were built by Chandler from 1992-1996, most of which have since been updated.

Clubside detached condos mainly range from 3,200-5,000 square feet with 2-3 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.

These charming cluster homes have lovely landscaping and partial stone facades. Inside, you’ll find hardwood flooring, two-story foyers with open staircases, laundry rooms with utility tubs, formal living rooms and/or private dens, formal dining rooms, vaulted great rooms with fireplaces, and spacious kitchens with center islands, breakfast bar seating, and dinette area. First-floor owner’s suites have walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities, soaking/jetted tubs, and walk-in showers. Finished lower levels include bars, media rooms and/or workout rooms. Attached garages accommodate 2 cars. Backyards are complete with paver patios.

The entrance to Clubside is off Detroit Rd via Clubside Dr. It is flanked by landscaped beds with stone pillars and in the center of the street is a divided median with flowering shrubs. At the end of the street, the cul-de-sac has a landscaped island with a gazebo.

The fairway of Westwood Country Club’s 11th hole is directly south.

To the north and east of Clubside are residential homes, to the west is the Stonewood Condo community, and to the southwest is a subdivision.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Clubside are approximately $5,000 annually, which includes lawn care and snow removal.

Convenient Location

The Clubside condo community is off Detroit Rd, 0.4 miles east of Clague Rd. This easternmost section of Westlake that borders Rocky River offers the trifecta of quick access to I-90, local retail, and numerous nearby parks.

Highways are easily accessible: 3 min to I-90, 9 min to I-480, and 12 min to I-71.

Retail is conveniently only 8 min away at Westwood Shopping Plaza and Westgate Shopping Center. The 75-acre, open-air collection of restaurants, retail and entertainment at Crocker Park (9 min) includes Apple, Nordstrom Rack, Trader Joe’s, World Market, Bed Bath & Beyond, Athleta, Chico’s, GAP, J. Crew, and tons of dining options. Even more shopping and dining at Great Northern is only 12 min away.

As for nearby parks, there are several. Tri-City Park and Clague Park are each only a 4 min drive. Tri-City has ball fields/courses, picnic pavilion, playground, and restroom facilities. Clague Park, which hosts the city’s 4th of July fireworks display, has ball fields/courts, picnic pavilions, walking trails, and a duck pond. The new Westlake Aquatic Center is also located in Clague Park. It offers five bodies of water for all ages: slide plunge pool, lazy river, activity pool, splash pad, and the main pool with diving board, climbing wall and lap area.

The Metroparks Rocky River Reservation is just 11 minutes away, offering 2,520 acres with picnic areas, play areas, sledding hills, ball fields, nature trails, paved trails, nature center, stables and bridle trails, marina, fishing areas, boat rentals, waterfalls and lagoons, and three golf courses.

There are several private clubs nearby: 3 min to Westwood Country Club (just east), 12 min to Avon Oaks Country Club and Lakewood Country Club, and 15 min to Red Tail.

Boaters are just 8 min from The Cleveland Yachting Club (CYC) – one of the oldest and most prestigious yachting clubs in the nation. Home to more than 300 sail and powerboats, CYC is known for its beautiful setting, first-class facilities and family-friendly atmosphere. CYC is located on its own island at the mouth of Rocky River, nine miles west of downtown Cleveland.
