About Prestwick Crossing in Westlake
Prestwick Crossing (also simply called Prestwick) is a community of 194 single-family homes nestled along Hilliard Lakes Golf Club in Westlake, Ohio.
This subdivision is located off the north side of Center Ridge Rd, just east of Mills Rd. It comprises the residential streets of Birkdale Turn, Hillsborough Pt, Lytham Cir, Muirfield Way, Prestwick Xing, St Andrews, and Turnburry Ct.
Fun fact: This development and its streets were named after renowned golf courses.


Most of this community was constructed by Shorewest Homes in five phases between 1985-1991. The final section of homes, Prestwick Glenn (along Birkdale Turn and the northeast end of Prestwick Xing), were built from 1992-1994, with the final few homes completed in 2006 and 2007.
Facades include Colonial Revival, Greek Revival, and Tudor architecture.
These two-story homes range from 3,000-5,600 square feet (including finished basements) with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5 bathrooms.
Inside, amenities include hardwood/LVP flooring, first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs, spacious entry foyers (many are two-story!) with turned staircases, private dens, formal dining and living rooms, and fireplaced family rooms (some are vaulted) that open to large kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, a center island with breakfast bar, and bayed dinette area. Second-floor owner’s suites feature an elegant double-door entry, an oversized bedroom with a sitting area/room, walk-in closet(s), and a large en-suite bathroom with skylights, dual sinks/vanities, a soaking tub, tiled walk-in shower, and enclosed commode. Finished lower levels are complete with bars, media/theater rooms, and exercise rooms.
Note: Several homes along the north end of Prestwick Crossing (Prestwick Glenn section) have walkout lower levels!
Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Outdoor living is enjoyed on decks and/or custom patios.
Backyard fences, sheds, playsets, and swimming pools are permitted.
Many backyards are treed, offering shade, privacy, and soothing birdsong.
Most lots feature flat topography, ideal for dogs, children, lawn games and pools.
Lots range from 0.34 to 0.55 acres and measure approximately 80′-93′ wide with 50′ setbacks from the street, sufficiently accommodating the scale of these homes and providing plenty of space from both passing neighborhood traffic and adjacent homes.
The west end of the community abuts the golf course of Hilliard Lakes (green area on above-illustrated map).
Along the northwest corner is a large stocked pond managed by the city.
Another undeveloped city-owned parcel (yellow plot on above map) is along the southwest end.

The entrance streets of Hillsborough Pt and Prestwick Xing are ornamented with stone pony walls and stone pillars capped by weathered wood shingles. The Hillsborough Pt entrance also features a charming clock tower.
Streets are lined by sidewalks, curbs, and lantern-style streetlights.
Lytham Cir, Prestwick Xing, and Turnburry Ct have cul-de-sacs.
Birkdale Turn and Muirfield Way dead-end along vacant residential land, which could be developed with future building opportunities.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Prestwick are approximately $60 annually.
The southwest end of the subdivision borders Mills Pointe Townhomes.

Prestwick Crossing is located along the border of North Ridgeville in southwest Westlake, Ohio, off the north side of Center Ridge Rd, just east of Mills Rd.
With major highways accessible in 8 min to I-480, and 11 min to both I-90 & I-80/Turnpike, this development is ideally located for commuting.
Westlake’s top-rated public schools are all within a 10-min drive.
The Metroparks’ Bradley Woods Reservation is a 5 min drive or a 6 min bike. It offers 828 acres of dense forests, 2+ miles of hiking trails, a walking path surrounding a fishing lake, picnic pavilion, greenspace, and monarch butterfly waystation.
Swings-N-Things Family Fun Center is just 12 minutes away – offering 13 acres of indoor and outdoor fun including two go-kart tracks, two 18-hole miniature golf courses, bumper boats, batting cages, indoor playground, a two-story game room, paintball, and homemade ice cream.
Should you desire a day at the lake, Huntington Beach is a 15 min drive!
Golfers are less than 11 minutes from an array of courses/facilities including Meadowood Golf Course, Hilliard Lakes Golf Club, North Ridge Indoor Golf, Bob-O-Link Golf Course, Springvale Golf Course, and North Olmsted Golf Club.

The city of Westlake has a state-of-the-art Recreation Center just 8 min away. The 86-acre outdoor park complex includes 2 baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, fishing pond with dock, playground, gazebo, picnic area, 1.2-mile paved outdoor trail, and plenty of green space for your enjoyment. Inside the facility, there’s a 13,500 square foot fitness room, 2 group exercise rooms, 2 high school-sized regulation basketball courts, cycling studio, elevated rubber running track, locker rooms with saunas, childcare, and community rooms. The indoor aquatics center houses 5 pools including a lap pool, a diving well, a children’s play pool, a lazy river, and slides.
As for retail, this community is 8 minutes away from Crocker Park — an expansive open-air collection of restaurants, retail and entertainment. Great Northern Mall (11 min drive) features a wide selection of stores and surrounding retail plazas.
