Hilliard Oak Estates is a community of 77 homes in Westlake, Ohio with a nearby park.
This subdivision is located along the intersection of Schwartz Rd and Hilliard Blvd. It encompasses three residential cul-de-sac streets (Hilliard Oak Ln, Northwood Ln, and Wood Oak Cir), and three homes along the east end of Hilliard Ct, five homes along the west side of Hilliard Blvd (even house numbers 30338-30396), and fifteen homes along the north end of Schwartz Rd (even house numbers 29840-29630).


This development was constructed in three phases from 1986-1994 by builders including C. J. Tom Builders and Kelly Needles Builders.
Phase 1 of Hilliard Oak Estates comprises Hilliard Oak Ln, five homes along the east end of Hilliard Blvd (odd house numbers 30307-30387), and fifteen homes along the north side of Schwartz Rd.
Phase 2 includes Wood Oak Cir, three homes along the east end of Hilliard Ct, five homes along the west side of Hilliard Blvd, and one home at 3244 Northwood Ln.
Phase 3 encompasses Northwood Ln.
Facades feature a variety of Contemporary, Colonial Revival, Neotraditional, Transitional, and Tudor architectural designs.
Many front elevations are constructed of full brick, and some homes even boast a full brick surround.
These two-story homes range from 3,100-5,200 square feet (including finished basements) with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.
Homes are appointed with ceramic or marble tile, hardwood flooring, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private dens, laundry rooms with cabinets and utility tubs, vaulted great rooms with fireplaces, and large kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, breakfast bar seating, and dinette area.
Owner’s suites (most are on the second floor) include walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, and dual sinks/vanities.
Finished lower levels may include rec rooms with kitchenettes or bars, theater rooms, and exercise rooms.
Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Backyards feature decks and/or patios and fire pits.
Most backyards feature a canopy of mature deciduous trees, providing shade, privacy, and soothing birdsong.
Lots measure approximately 80′ wide and range from 0.34 to 0.72 acres.
The streets of Hilliard Oak Ln, Northwood Ln, and Wood Oak Cir are enhanced by lantern-style street lamps, curbs, sidewalks, and cul-de-sacs with landscaped islands.
There are also sidewalks along the homes on Hilliard and Schwartz roads.
The streetscape of Hilliard Oaks Ln and Wood Oak Cir are further enhanced by ornamental street trees.
The northeast end of Northwood Ln cul-de-sac abuts a wooded section of Lakewood Country Club (green parcels on above-illustrated map).
The west end of Wood Oak Cir cul-de-sac backs to a dry basin maintained by the city (yellow area on map above).
Hilliard Oak Estates is bordered by several subdivisions. To the west on Hilliard Ct is Hilliard Court. Northwood Ln is bordered to the east by St Ives. The community of Royal Woods borders Northwood Ln to the northwest and Wood Oak Cir to the north. Hilliard Oak Ln is bordered to the north by Chairmans Rowe.
There are no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Hilliard Oak Estates.

Hilliard Oak Estates is located along the intersection of Schwartz Rd and Hilliard Blvd. This western section of Westlake, close to the Avon border, is a quiet, residential area of high-end single-family home subdivisions nestled amongst parks and golf courses.
The community is ideally situated 1.7 miles south of I-90 – far enough away to evade interstate traffic noise, but still accessible in less than 10 minutes.
Westlake’s top-rated public schools are all nearby: 5 min to Westlake High School; 6 min to Intermediate and Lee Burneson Middle School; 7 min to Elementary.
You’re roughly 1.5 miles (3 min drive) to Crocker Park—the best shopping on the west side of Cleveland—a sprawling, open-air collection of restaurants, retail, entertainment & leisure. Even more retail and dining is available at Avon Commons.
Just around the corner (<5 min bike or 20 min walk) is Bradley Nature Park—a 20-acre park located on Bradley Road just south of Hilliard Blvd. The park features a sledding hill, a tot playground, a pavilion, picnic tables and grills, a nature trail and restroom facilities.
A day at Huntington Beach in Bay Village is only an 11 min drive.
The city of Westlake has a very clean and modern Recreation Center. The 86-acre outdoor complex includes baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, a fishing pond, playground, gazebo, picnic area, paved outdoor trail, and plenty of greenspace for your enjoyment. Inside the facility, there’s a 13,500 square foot fitness room, group exercise rooms, high school-sized regulation basketball courts, cycling studio, elevated rubber running track, and locker rooms with saunas. The indoor aquatics center houses five pools including a lap pool, a diving well, a children’s play pool, a lazy river, and slides.
The city pool, Westlake Aquatic Center in Clague Park offers five bodies of water for all ages: slide plunge pool, lazy river, activity pool, splash pad, and the main pool with diving board, climbing wall and lap area.
Golfers have an array of courses nearby: 3 min to Hilliard Lakes, 5 min to Meadowood, 7 min to Red Tail, 9 min to Bob-O-Link Golf Course, and 11 min to Sweetbriar, Springvale and North Olmsted Golf Club.
There are several distinguished clubs nearby: 3 min to Lakewood Country Club, 6 min to Avon Oaks Country Club, 13 min to Westwood Country Club.
Boaters will feel right at home at The Cleveland Yachting Club (CYC) – one of the oldest and most prestigious yachting clubs in the nation. Home to more than 300 sail and powerboats, CYC is known for its beautiful setting, first-class facilities and family-friendly atmosphere. CYC is located on its own island at the mouth of Rocky River, nine miles west of downtown Cleveland.
