This subdivision is located 0.3 miles west of Bradley Rd, off the north side of Detroit Rd. It comprises the streets of Bur Oak Dr, W Essig Ln, and Jager Blvd (sometimes called Jager Dr).


The 103 single-family luxury homes of Bur Oak were built over three phases between 2011-2025 by builders including Bennett Builders, Buckingham Homes, Garland Griffin Homes, North Star Builders, Petros Homes, Ream Builders, and Valore.
This subdivision takes its name from the Bur Oak tree (Quercus macrocarpa), a native and majestic Oak found throughout most of Ohio.
Bur Oak facades feature a multitude of styles, including Colonial Revival, European Manor, Modern European, Modern Farmhouse, Contemporary Cottage, and Transitional architecture constructed with full or partial brick/stone.
Homes include ranch and two-story floorplans ranging from 4,200-7,500 square feet (including finished basements) with 3-6 bedrooms and 3-5.5 bathrooms.
Built over a span of 14 years, these homes offer varying amenities. However, common features include premium fixtures and appliances, open staircases, open concept layouts, high ceilings, and LVP or hardwood flooring.
Pricipal first floor rooms may include garage-entry mudrooms or mud halls, grand two-story foyers, private dens, formal dining rooms, and fireplaced family rooms (some are two-story or vaulted) that open to kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, a center island, breakfast bar, walk-in pantry, and dinette area or morning room.
Laundry rooms may be on the first or second floor.
Large first-floor or second-floor owner’s suites can have vaulted or tray ceilings, generous walk-in closets, and an en-suite bathroom with dual sinks/vanities, a soaking tub and/or tiled walk-in shower, and enclosed commode.
Second floors may offer lofts or bonus/game rooms.
Finished lower levels feature 9′ ceilings, bars, media rooms, workout rooms, and even wine cellars/tasting rooms.
Side-entry garages accommodate 3 to 3.5 cars.
Homesites measure approximately 105′ to 120′ wide and generally range from 0.46 to 0.77 acres. There are also a few larger 1-acre lots in Phase III.
Outdoor living is enjoyed on custom patios, composite decks and/or covered living areas.
Most lots are fully cleared of old-growth trees.
Lots on the east side of Jager Dr have wooded conservation easements along the rear property lines, which are deed-restricted and protected. These lots offer privacy and lush views.
Several homes along the northeast corner of the community overlook a fountained retention pond encircled by a paved walking trail.

The subdivision of Bur Oak is located along the northwest edge of Westlake, Ohio, off the north side of Detroit Rd, 0.3 miles west of Bradley Rd.
It’s conveniently just 4 minutes from I-90 for easy commuting and downtown date nights.
🔊NOISE: While the proximity to I-90 is convenient, the interstate runs just north of the community and may subject it to noise pollution.
Westlake’s top-rated public schools are all nearby: 9 min to Westlake High School; 11 min to Elementary, Intermediate and Lee Burneson Middle School.
Bur Oak is one of the few developments within walking distance to Crocker Park—the best shopping on the west side of Cleveland—an expansive open-air collection of restaurants, retail, entertainment & leisure.

The city of Westlake has a very clean and modern Recreation Center. The 86-acre outdoor complex includes baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts, a fishing pond, playground, gazebo, picnic area, paved outdoor trail, and plenty of greenspace for your enjoyment. Inside the facility, there’s a 13,500 square foot fitness room, group exercise rooms, high school-sized regulation basketball courts, cycling studio, elevated rubber running track, and locker rooms with saunas. The indoor aquatics center houses five pools including a lap pool, a diving well, a children’s play pool, a lazy river, and slides.
For outdoor swimming during the warmer months, check out the Westlake Aquatic Center located in Clague Park. It offers five bodies of water for all ages: slide plunge pool, lazy river, activity pool, splash pad, and the main pool with diving board, climbing wall and lap area.

Golfers have a number of nearby golf courses: 7 min to Hilliard Lakes, 8 min to Red Tail, 9 min to Meadowood, 10 min to Sweetbriar, 11 min to Bob-O-Link Golf Course, and 16 min to Springvale and North Olmsted Golf Club.
There are several clubs in the area: Avon Oaks Country Club (borders the development to the west), Lakewood Country Club is 5 min south on Bradley Rd, and Westwood Country Club is 15 min east.
Boaters will feel right at home at The Cleveland Yachting Club (CYC) – one of the oldest and most prestigious yachting clubs in the nation. Home to more than 300 sail and powerboats, CYC is known for its beautiful setting, first-class facilities and family-friendly atmosphere. CYC is located on its own island at the mouth of Rocky River, nine miles west of downtown Cleveland.
