Western Reserve Ranch Estates, in northeastern Hudson, Ohio, is a wooded community of roughly 100 homes adjacent to parkland. This subdivision is located immediately east of Stow Rd, between Middleton Rd and Hudson Aurora Rd. It comprises the streets of Deerpath Trl, Pioneer Trl, Red Fox Trl, Sugarbush Trl, Woodbridge Rd, the north end of Huntington Rd (house numbers 7523-7739), five homes on the north side of Hudson Aurora Rd, seven homes on the south side of Middleton Rd, and five homes on the east side of Stow Rd.


Homes were constructed between 1941-1974.
Most façades feature architectural styles consistent with those throughout historic Hudson, including Colonial Revival, Greek Revival, Saltbox, Cape Cod, and farmhouse styles.
These ranch, 1.5-story and 2-story homes range in size from 2,100-5,400 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4 bathrooms.
Western Reserve Ranch Estates homes are appointed with hardwood or LVP flooring, foyers with coat closets, first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms with fireplaces, private dens, fireplaced great rooms, a sunroom or screened porch, and kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, a breakfast bar, tile backsplash, and dinette area. Owner’s suites (second floor in most colonials/cape cods) include walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms. Full finished lower levels are complete with media rooms, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Attached side or rear-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars. Some homes also have detached garages for additional parking.
Residences have public sewer and well water.
Backyards feature lush landscape beds, paver patios and/or composite decks, pergolas or gazebos, and fireplaces or fire pits.
These square and rectangular-shaped lots measure approximately 200′ wide and primarily range from 0.75 to 2.9 acres.
Land cover varies from lightly treed to heavily wooded.
The topography of the site is flat, great for kids, dogs, gardens, lawn games and swimming pools.
The eastern end of the community abuts 52 wooded acres of High Point Park (designated in green on above map) owned by the city of Hudson, offering a secluded sylvan setting with endless views of nature. As a “passive park” it remains undisturbed other than nature trails that meander through the forest with a wooden pedestrian bridge and a remnant fireplace from an old cottage. The park’s entrance is off Middleton Rd.
There are five entrances: via Red Fox Trail from Middleton Rd; via Huntington Rd from either Middleton Rd or Hudson Aurora Rd; and via Woodbridge Rd and Pioneer Trail from Stow Rd.
Like many of Hudson’s subdivisions, there are no curbs or sidewalks.

There are no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Western Reserve Ranch Estates.
Other nearby communities include Crown Point (to the east), and White Horse Acres, Dillman Estates, and Stonebridge of Hudson (all to the south).

The subdivision of Western Reserve Ranch Estates is located in northeastern Hudson, Ohio (Summit County), along the east side of Stow Rd, between Middleton Rd and Hudson Aurora Rd.
Highways are accessible in 5 min to I-480, 6 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 15 min to I-271.
🔊While the proximity to I-480 is convenient, the northeast end of the development is as close as 345′ from the interstate, which may subject it to interstate noise pollution.
This neighborhood is served by the nationally acclaimed Hudson City School District. Ellsworth Hill Elementary is conveniently at the corner of Middleton and Stow roads. The High School is a 4 min drive or less; the main school campus (Early Learning, Intermediate, and Middle School) is within a 6 min drive.
A number of nearby private schools also serve the community, including Western Reserve Academy (grades 9-12), Seton Catholic School (K-8), and Hudson Montessori School (preschool-8th grade) — each located in Hudson; Old Trail School (preschool-8th grade) in Fairlawn; and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (grades 7-12) in Cuyahoga Falls.
It’s a 6 min drive to downtown Hudson’s First & Main, an upscale retail district with national chain stores along with locally-owned shops and restaurants. First & Main is also home to more than a dozen annual events in the park-like square.
Shoppers will appreciate being 10 min from Aurora Farms Premium Outlets with 50+ outlet stores of the most popular brands.
