Western Reserve Park is a community with roughly 27 homes in northern Hudson Ohio that abut a neighborhood park.

Homes were constructed from 1987-1990 by builders including Prestige Homes. Most homes have since been updated.

Facades are styled as Georgian, Tudor, New England, and Greek revival. Most front elevations are full vinyl but there are some full brick fronts.

These colonial homes range in size from 3,000-4,300 square feet with 4-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4 bathrooms.

Homes are appointed with desirable amenities including two-story foyers with turned staircases, hardwood flooring, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private dens with built-ins, and laundry rooms with cabinets. Great rooms with vaulted or wood-beamed ceilings and fireplaces are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops (some with breakfast bar seating), tile backsplash, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and sunroom/morning room or screened porch. Vaulted owner’s suites (second floor) include a walk-in closet and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities. Full finished lower levels are complete with theater or media rooms, kitchenettes, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Homes offer attached 2-3 car side-entry garages for maximum curb appeal.

Wooded homesites mainly range from .67 to .88 acres. Backyards feature patios and/or composite decks and fireplaces or fire pits.

The 60-acre Darrow Road Park is just north of this community, with nine homes backing to its forest for endless views of nature. Nature and fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the park’s 1.25-mile walking trail. Entrances to the trail are located off the parking lot on Darrow Rd and off Lascala Dr across from its intersection with Leeway Dr ― both walkable in 10 min or less.

Western Reserve Park is accessible via Herrick Park Dr from Darrow Rd, and through neighboring subdivisions via Herrick Park Dr from Hudson Aurora Rd (through Woods of Western Reserve), and via Lascala Dr through Country Club Estates.

The subdivision of Western Reserve Park encompasses some homes on the western side of Herrick Park Dr and all homes on Abner Ln.

This community does not have curbs or sidewalks.

Residences have public sewer and public water.

There are no mandatory Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Western Reserve Park.

This neighborhood is serviced by the nationally acclaimed Hudson City School District. It is in proximity to Hudson High School, Middle School, and Elementary (all within a 6 min drive).

A number of nearby private schools also serve the community, including Western Reserve Academy (grades 9-12), Seton Catholic School (K-8), and Hudson Montessori School (preschool-8th grade) — each located in Hudson; Old Trail School (preschool-8th grade) in Fairlawn; and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (grades 7-12) in Cuyahoga Falls.

The subdivision of Western Reserve Park is located in northern Hudson Ohio (Summit County) between Hudson Aurora and Darrow roads, just north of I-80/OH-Turnpike.

Highways are accessible in 8 min to I-480, 9 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 11 min to I-271.

You are 10 min from Summit Bike and Hike Trail (Barlow & Terex Trailhead), which offers 34 miles of trail traveling past the Cuyahoga Valley National Forest and through Summit, Cuyahoga and Portage counties.

The 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park is just 9 min away, which includes the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.

Golfers are only 10 min from the city-owned golf club, Ellsworth Meadows. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re 4 min to Hudson Country Club and 8 min to Lake Forest Country Club.

Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 15 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
