Scenic View Estates in northern Hudson Ohio is a tranquil community of 32 homes nestled against Darrow Road Park.
Homes in Scenic View Estates were built from 1973-1996 by builders including Dennis Hargreaves and Ken Payne. Most homes have since been updated.
Facades are styled as Georgian, Greek revival, Tudor, New England, and transitional/soft contemporary styles. Front elevations include full vinyl as well as partial or full brick fronts (with some also offering full brick surround).
Homes include colonial, cape cod, and contemporary floorplans and mainly range from 3,200-6,900 square feet with 4-6 bedrooms and 2.5-6.5+ bathrooms.
Homes are appointed with desirable amenities including two-story foyers with open staircases, hardwood flooring, multiple fireplaces, extensive millwork, specialty ceilings, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private dens with built-ins, mud halls with built-ins, and laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets. Vaulted or two-story great rooms with fireplaces and large windows are open to granite or quartz kitchens featuring a center island, breakfast bar seating, tile backsplash, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and sunroom. Vaulted owner’s suites (most are second floor) include sitting areas, walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Full finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with theater or media rooms, kitchenettes, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Homes offer attached 2-3 car side-entry garages for maximum curb appeal.
Backyards feature professionally designed gardens, patios and/or composite decks, covered living areas, pergolas, fireplaces or fire pits, water features, and even in-ground pools.

The south side of the community abuts the woods of the 60-acre Darrow Road Park for endless views of nature. Nature and fitness enthusiasts will appreciate its 1.25-mile walking trail. Trail entrances are accessible from the parking lot off Darrow Rd, or from Lascala Dr across from its intersection with Leeway Dr.
This development encompasses the majority of homes on Edgeview Dr (homes on the eastern end of the street belong to Country Club Estates) and all homes upon the cul-de-sac street of McShu Ln.
This community does not have curbs or sidewalks.
Residences have public sewer and well water.
This neighborhood is serviced by the nationally acclaimed Hudson City School District. A number of private schools also serve the community, including Western Reserve Academy (grades 9-12), Seton Catholic School (K-8), and Hudson Montessori School (preschool-8th grade) — each located in Hudson; Old Trail School (preschool-8th grade) in Fairlawn; and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (grades 7-12) in Cuyahoga Falls.
