Village West is a community of 113 homes roughly a mile west of historic downtown Hudson, Ohio.
This subdivision is located west of the Boston Mills Rd and W Streetsboro St intersection. It comprises the streets of Jefferson Dr, Nathan Ct, N Westhaven Dr and Prescott Dr, and the west end of Stratford Rd (house numbers 3-117).


These homes were constructed from 1988-2006 by builders including David Moore Builders and MMMC Construction. There is also one home in the center of the development, built in 1955. Many homes have since been updated.
Facades are styled with Colonial Revival, Dutch Colonial Revival, Federal, Georgian Revival, Greek Revival, English Manor, French Country, Italianate, Neo-Colonial, and Transitional architecture.
These two-story homes range from 2,100-5,700 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.
Village West homes are appointed with desirable amenities including 9′ ceilings on the first floor, hardwood flooring, first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private dens with built-ins, sunrooms or screened porches, and fireplaced great rooms with large windows and vaulted or two-story ceilings that are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, a center island, breakfast bar, tile backsplash, walk-in pantry, and dinette area. Vaulted owner’s suites include sitting areas, walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Full finished lower levels are complete with theater or media rooms, kitchenettes, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Homes are serviced by public water and sewer.
Backyards feature patios and/or composite decks, gazebos, covered living areas, fireplaces or fire pits, and even in-ground pools.
Lots have approximately 100′ street frontage and are sized from 0.30 to 0.65 acres.
Lots offer varied tree cover, from sparse to moderate to partially wooded.
The site’s topography ranges from flat to gently sloping.
Village West homes are surrounded by 28 acres of HOA-owned greenspace (designated in yellow on the above-illustrated map), most of it treed or wooded, with three ponds offering serene water views to abutting homes.

There is one entrance off the north side of W Streetsboro St via N Westhaven Dr, and two entrances off the south side of Boston Mills Rd via Stratford Rd and Prescott Dr. The entrances off Boston Mills Rd are ornamented by lush landscaped beds with stone pavers and white crossbuck fencing that runs along the main road.
Streets in this development are lined by acorn-shaped streetlights, street trees, curbs, and sidewalks on one side of the street.
Jefferson Dr and Nathan Ct have cul-de-sacs enhanced with grassed and treed islands.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Village West are approximately $450 annually.
Village West is bordered to the northwest and southwest by Meadowood Lane and Herons Rest.
Comparable nearby communities include The Woods of Williamsburg, located on the opposite side of W Streetsboro St.

Village West subdivision is located in central Hudson, Ohio (Summit County), east of the intersection of Boston Mills Rd and W Streetsboro St, with entrances off each.
Highways are accessible in 8 min to I-80/Turnpike, 10 min to I-271, and 13 min to I-480.
This neighborhood is served by the nationally acclaimed Hudson City School District.
A number of private schools also serve the community, including Western Reserve Academy (grades 9-12), Seton Catholic School (K-8), and Hudson Montessori School (preschool-8th grade) — each located in Hudson; Old Trail School (preschool-8th grade) in Fairlawn; and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (grades 7-12) in Cuyahoga Falls.
Located a mile away (and walkable!) in downtown Hudson, First & Main is an upscale retail district with national chain stores along with locally-owned shops and restaurants. First & Main is also home to more than a dozen annual events in the park-like square.
Eight min away is LifeCenter Plus, Hudson’s full-service four-season health and fitness facility with strength-training and cardio equipment, five pools including a warm water therapy pool plus an outdoor aquatic center, an indoor track, rock climbing wall, racquetball and pickleball courts, as well as cycling, pilates, yoga and Tai Chi studios.
The 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park is only 7 min away, which includes the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
