Nottingham Gate Estates is a master-planned residential community of roughly 140 homes with private recreational amenities and direct access to extensive paved biking/hiking trails.
This subdivision is located east of OH-8 between Terex Rd and Barlow Rd, comprising the streets of Abbyshire Dr, Brookshire Dr, Cheshire Rd, Knollshire Dr, Nottingham Gate Blvd, and Wilshire Park Dr.


Nottingham Gate Estates Real Estate:
Homes were constructed from 1993-2023 by builders including John Hershberger.
These homes are mainly two-story plans that range from 2,300-5,200+ square feet with 3-6 bedrooms and 2.5-5.5 bathrooms.
Facades include New England-style architecture including Cape Cod and Colonial Revival, as well as some transitional/Neo-Colonial designs. Most front elevations are constructed with vinyl siding, but there are also some partial or full brick fronts.
Inside, these homes are appointed with desirable amenities including hardwood flooring, first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, two-story foyers with open staircases, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings and millwork, formal living rooms and/or private dens, screened porches or sunrooms, and fireplaced great rooms that are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, a center island, breakfast bar, tile backsplash, pantry, and dinette area. Owner’s suites (most are second floor) include walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, and dual sinks/vanities. Full finished lower levels are complete with media rooms, kitchenettes, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Side-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars.
Homes are serviced with public water and public sewer.
Backyards feature patios and/or composite decks, gazebos or pergolas, and fireplaces or fire pits.
Homesites mostly range from 0.40 to 1.8 acres.
Most lots are cleared, but there are some parcels with wooded, partially wooded or treed backyards.
Some homes abut a portion of greenspace owned by the HOA (designated in yellow on the above illustrated map).

There are three entrances to this development: from Terex Rd via Nottingham Gate Blvd, and from Barlow Rd via Brookshire Dr or Wilshire Park Dr. Each entrance is designated by lush landscaped beds with signage.
Streets in this community are enhanced by curbs, acorn-shaped street lights, and street trees.
There are sidewalks on one or both sides of the street through much of the development.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Nottingham Gate Estates are approximately $1,100 annually.
Nottingham Gate Estates Amenities:
Residents enjoy exclusive amenities including a heated outdoor swimming pool, a clubhouse that can be rented for private events, a large fishing pond, half basketball court, and a tennis court.



There are also social events for children and adults throughout the year such as Bunco nights, progressive dinners, a pre-Trick-or-Treat pizza party, summer block parties, book club, Bible study, and the Ladies Holiday Auction.
This development also boasts direct access to the 34-mile Summit Bike and Hike Trail, which leads along the Cuyahoga Valley National Forest and through Summit, Cuyahoga and Portage counties. One trail runs just north of the community, with direct access from the entrance of Nottingham Gate Blvd. Another trail runs directly through the development, with access from Cheshire Rd or Abbyshire Dr.


Located across the street are the subdivisions of Westbridge Crossing and Bridgewater Place.

Nottingham Gate Estates is located along the border of Peninsula in southwestern Hudson, Ohio (Summit County), east of OH-8 between Terex Rd and Barlow Rd.
Highways are accessible in 8 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 12 min to I-271 and I-480.
Residences are served by the nationally acclaimed Hudson City School District.
A number of private schools also serve the community, including Western Reserve Academy (grades 9-12), Seton Catholic School (K-8), and Hudson Montessori School (preschool-8th grade) — each located in Hudson; Old Trail School (preschool-8th grade) in Fairlawn; and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (grades 7-12) in Cuyahoga Falls.
Located within a 7 min drive in downtown Hudson, First & Main is an upscale retail district with national chain stores along with locally-owned shops and restaurants. First & Main is also home to more than a dozen annual events in the park-like square.
