About Waterford Crossing in Strongsville
Waterford Crossing in Strongsville Ohio is a master-planned recreation community of 650+ single-family and limited-maintenance detached cluster homes of various sizes and styles. With wooded lots, family-friendly amenities, extensive greenspace, and walking distance to the elementary school, this development is a great place to call home!

Homes were constructed between from 1994-2019 by more than a dozen builders including Bennett Homes, Colony Builders, Emeritus Homes, Hickory Hills Homes, Kingswood Group, Latina & Latina, Parkview Homes, Pulte Homes, Ream Builders, and Windsong Homes. Many of the older homes have since been updated.
The single-family homes of Waterford Crossing include a variety of two-story plans with 3,400-6,900 square feet of living space with 4-5 bedrooms and 3-4.5+ bathrooms.
Homes are appointed with dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, hardwood and ceramic flooring, two-story or vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows, formal dining rooms and living rooms, private dens, first-floor in-law suites, and first or second-floor laundry. Kitchens feature center islands, breakfast bar seating, a walk-in pantry, dinettes, and sunrooms. Owner’s suites have walk-in closets and glamour baths with separate walk-in showers and soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower-levels (many are coveted walk-outs!) include media/theater rooms, bars, dinettes, and workout rooms. These homes offer 3-car garages. Backyards include custom patios and/or decks.


Homesites, many with treed backyards, are sized from .26 to .47.
Numerous homes abut a section of 50+ acres of common space (yellow areas within the blue boundary on map above) including wooded areas, open greenspace, and numerous ponds.
A tributary stream of the Rocky River West Branch cuts diagonally through the subdivision (solid light blue line on map). See FEMA Flood Map for the northwest corner. A few streams also cross the southwest corner (see FEMA Flood Map for the southwest corner).
There are 8 retention ponds and 2 detention basins to that collect rainwater and meter it into the public sewer system to prevent flooding during heavy storms. In recent years, the city’s engineering department has taken action to resolve flooding in the neighborhood.





Centrally located within Waterford Crossing at 18881 Waterford Pkwy is a 3.09-acre recreation area exclusive to residents and their guests. Homeowners enjoy a newly renovated clubhouse with a kitchenette and a gas fireplace, an outdoor swimming pool with a zero-entry area and a mushroom spray fountain, a playground, twin lighted tennis courts, basketball courts, and sand volleyball court.

With four direct entrances to the neighborhood, navigating in and out of Waterford is easy. Waterford Parkway runs vertically through the community, with entrances off Drake Rd and Boston Rd. There are also two entrances from Prospect Rd via Glen Cairn Way and Kylemore Dr.
The main street, Waterford Pkwy, is a mile-long tree-lined street with street lights, sidewalks on both sides, and park benches for relaxing. Designed to complement an active lifestyle, residents enjoy walking, running, and biking along the meandering parkway.
In addition to its entrance streets, single-family homes also encompass the streets of Araglin Ct, Ashford Ct, Ballymore St, Berkshire Cir, Bellhaven Pl, Bradgate Ln, Carlton Ct, Castlemaine Cir, Charter Ln, Clare Ct, Colleen Ct, Donegal Ln, E Donegal Ln, E Kerry Pl, Ennis Dr, Erin Cir, Glen Cairn Way, Kelsey Ln, Killians Grove, Kylemore Dr, Leana Ct, Lismore Ct, Lucerne Ln, Morar Cir, Pembrooke Oval, Princeton Cir, Shandon Ct, Tramore Ln, Wakefield Cir, homes on Walnut Dr south of Kerry Pl, W Kerry Pl, Waterford Pkwy, Westminster Dr, and Wynnewood Pl. Each has street trees, curbs, and sidewalks on both sides of the street; many have cul-de-sacs.
The development is also accessible through the entrances of adjoining communities: Pearl Road through The Woods of Strongsville (aka Drake Estates) via Ellsworth Drive, or through the established streets off Drake Rd.
Residences are served by Strongsville City School District. NOTE: The entire neighborhood comprises non-bussing streets to Kinsner Elementary School, which is located in the center of the development. Children can walk or bike directly to the school—a ≤15 min walk or ≤4 min bike—without leaving the neighborhood.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Waterford Crossing are approximately $560 annually. Link to HOA website.

Waterford Crossing is located in southwest Strongsville off Prospect, Drake, and Boston roads.
Highway access is ideal with I-71 and I-80/Turnpike 12 and 14 min away respectively.
Strongsville’s bustling retail sector is right around the corner and SouthPark Mall is a 10 min drive.
The Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center is less than 5 miles away, offering residents a pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, massage therapy, ball courts, indoor elevated track, weight and exercise room, and game area with pool tables, ping pong, video games, air hockey and more.
As for parks, Strongsville has nine city parks with ball courts/fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, pavilions, and trails.
There’s also Cleveland Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation 12 min away where visitors can engage in hiking, horseback riding, archery, ziplining, axe throwing, and tobogganing at The Chalet on the tallest, fastest toboggan ice chutes in Ohio.
If you’re a golfer, it’s just 8 min to Royal Crest and Hickory Nut, 11 min to Pine Hills and Columbia Hills, and 14 min to Valleaire.
