Read on for comprehensive information about this community and its single-family homes, lots, flood information, recreational amenities, HOA fees, location, nearby conveniences, driving distances, and recent sales.
The single-family homes of Deerfield Lake were built between 1976-1993 by builders including Calla Building Company, Colony Builders, Forest Brook Homes, Howison Homes, Hunting Valley Builders, Kingswood Group, Parkview Homes, and Production Homes. Many homes have since been updated.
Homes include ranch, split-level, and two-story floorplans ranging from 2,500-4,300 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
Facades include both traditional and contemporary designs, styled as Tudor, full vinyl, and full or partial brick/stone.
Being that homes were built over 17 years by a variety of builders, designs and features vary. Common features in Deerfield Lake homes include first-floor laundry rooms, fireplaced family rooms with beamed ceilings, spacious formal dining rooms and living rooms, private dens, kitchens with dinette areas, and owner’s suites with dual sink en-suite bathrooms, and full finished lower levels (a few are coveted walk-outs!). Front-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars. Backyards are appointed with custom patios and/or decks and even screened-in porches.
Homesites range from 0.22 to 0.35 acres, most with treed or wooded yards.
A stream within the Baldwin Creek/Rocky River East Branch watershed runs behind the backyards of homes on the north side of the cul-de-sac end of Misty Lakes Dr. View FEMA Flood Map.
Yellow parcels within the blue border on the map above are HOA-owned common areas. Yellow areas outside the blue border are common land of the neighboring community. Homes abutting these parcels have extended views of meadows, foliage and/or ponds.
Family-friendly amenities include a 75′ x 45′ rectangular pool and a 15′ x 20′ wading pool, two tennis courts, a playground, a multi-purpose field, large catch-and-release pond, and an octagonal clubhouse that residents can reserve for events. The ten homes with water frontage have direct access to the pond for paddle boating, paddle boarding and canoeing. The clubhouse’s striking interior (pictured above) has wood paneling, skylights, and a stairway built on a sloping tree trunk. These amenities are located at 17144 Golden Star Dr.
The southern recreation area is an 11.88-acre parcel with an open meadow, play structure, swings, a tennis court, and a wooded walking path encircling a catch-and-release pond. This area is accessible through the field between 19417 & 19449 Misty Lake Dr.
There are three direct entrances: Misty Lake Dr off Drake Rd, Golden Star Dr off Howe Rd, and Cottonwood Trl off Boston Rd. The north and south entrances are flanked by antiqued red brick signage between pillars topped with spherical capping stones.
In addition to the homes on the entrance streets of Misty Lake Dr, Golden Star Dr, and Cottonwood Trl, this development also includes the streets of Aspen Cir, Beech Cir, Blazing Star Dr, Currier Dr (house numbers 16629 and higher), Falmouth Dr (house numbers 17074 to 16633), Fern Canyon Dr, Gold Rush Dr, Morning Star Dr, N Red Oak Dr, S Red Oak Dr, N Red Rock Dr, S Red Rock Dr, N White Oaks Dr, S White Oaks Dr, Penny Pines Cir, Peppergrass Cir, and Timberline Dr (house numbers 16484 to 16561).
