About Crystal Creek in Strongsville
Crystal Creek is a community of roughly 170 homes around the corner from the retail district with walkability to the High School in Strongsville Ohio, located between Prospect and Pearl roads, off Royalton Rd and Lunn Rd.
NOTE: The adjoining streets of Abigail Ln and Shireen Dr are excluded from this page, which are the homes of Abigail Estates.
Homes were mainly constructed between 1988-1994 by builders including Colabianchi, Emerald Homes, Fragapane Construction, Perram Bros Construction, and Southpointe Homes.
Crystal Creek offers two-story homes that mainly range from 2,600-4,400 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2-3.5 bathrooms.
Facades are traditionally styled with vinyl, partial or full brick, and Tudor.
Many front entryways have extended porches that accommodate rocking chairs to encourage neighborly socialization. Inside, homes are appointed with hardwood or LVP flooring, first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, private dens with glass-paned french doors, formal living rooms, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings and trim work, and fireplaced great rooms (some vaulted) that open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, center islands (some have breakfast bar seating), pantry, and dinette area. Owner’s suites have vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks, soaking/jetted tubs and/or walk-in showers. Second floors may offer lofts. Finished lower levels have bars, media rooms, and exercise rooms. Attached front-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Backyards include custom patios and/or decks and even fire pits.
Most homesites range from 0.29 to 0.33 acres. There are some larger lots up to 0.64 acres and two measuring 2.51 and 2.61 acres.
Various lots offer treed backyards.
Yellow parcels within the red border on the above map are community common areas. Yellow areas outside the red border belong to the adjacent condo community of Settler’s Village.
Baker Creek flows near the southwest corner and a small stream within the Rocky River West Branch watershed flows around the eastern side of the community (solid and dashed blue lines on map above). View FEMA Flood Map.
This community has two entrances: off Royalton Rd via Crystal Creek Dr and Lunn Rd via Ranchwood Dr.
The main entrance of Crystal Creek Dr from Royalton Rd is flanked on the right side by a landscaped bed with stately brick signage walls and a backdrop of mature trees.
It is also accessible through the adjoining community to the east from Pearl Rd.
In addition to Crystal Creek Dr and Ranchwood Dr, homes also encompass the streets of Overland Park Dr, Trapper Trl, Trotwood Pk, Winding Trl, and Shenandoah Rdg*.
All have street trees, curbs, and sidewalks on both sides.
Winding Trl has one corner cul-de-sac and two full cul-de-sacs.
*Homes on Shenandoah Ridge are sometimes referred to as the Emerald Woods subdivision. Shenandoah Rdg homes were the final homes constructed in the development (2003-2006 and 2014), mainly by Emerald Homes Inc/Christopher Development Corp. These homes (pictured below) have partial or full brick/stone facades with 3,200-4,200 square feet, 4-5 bedrooms, 3-4.5 bathrooms, and side-entry garages.
All residences are served by Strongsville City School District. The Early Learning Preschool is conveniently across from the subdivision’s entrance off Lunn Rd.
NOTE: The entire neighborhood comprises non-bussing streets to Strongsville High School, which is a ≤20 min walk or ≤6 min bike through the development.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Crystal Creek are approximately $65 annually.
To the southwest is the development of Orchard Hill.

Crystal Creek is located in central Strongsville, off Royalton and Lunn roads, between Prospect Rd and Pearl Rd.
Highways are accessible in 8 min to I-71 and 11 min to I-80/Turnpike.
SouthPark Mall and Strongsville’s bustling retail sector is just a 7-min drive.
The Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center is 6 min away, offering residents a pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, massage therapy, ball courts, indoor elevated track, weight and exercise room, and game area with pool tables, ping pong, video games, air hockey and more.
As for parks, Strongsville has nine city parks with ball courts/fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, pavilions, and trails.
There’s also Mill Stream Run Reservation 7 min away, part of Cleveland Metroparks, where visitors can engage in hiking, horseback riding, archery, ziplining, axe throwing, and tobogganing at The Chalet on the tallest, fastest toboggan ice chutes in Ohio.
Golfers are 5-8 min to Royal Crest, Hickory Nut, and Columbia Hills.
