About Craig Estates in Strongsville

Craig Estates in northwest Strongsville Ohio is a community of 46 homes, that encompass the streets of Craig Dr, Diane Cir, and Elizabeth Cir. Homes are accessible through an established community from Prospect Rd via Rudy Dr.

Craig Estates homes were constructed between 2000-2009. Some homes have since been updated.

Tanglewood Elite Builders (Chiuchiarelli & Colabianchi Builders) constructed Phase I homes (northern half of the subdivision), which encompass Diane Cir and house numbers 11342-11518 Craig Dr.

Phase II homes, which include 11555-11814 Craig Dr and Elizabeth Cir, were primarily built by A.J. Bokar Building Co (WillowWood Homes).

Homes are primarily colonial, but there are also a few ranches. They mainly range from 1,900-3,500 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms. 

Traditionally styled facades are designed with full vinyl or brick accents.

Primary features in Craig Estates homes include hardwood or LVP flooring, main floor laundry rooms with utility tubs, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings and trim work, and fireplaced great rooms (some with vaulted or volume ceilings) that are open to kitchens with quartz or granite countertops, center islands, breakfast bar seating, dinette area, and pantry. Some floorplans include private dens, sitting rooms or sunrooms. Owner’s suites have vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sink vanities, soaking/jetted tubs, and walk-in showers. Full finished lower levels offer media rooms, bars, and workout rooms. Garages (most are front-entry) accommodate 2-3 cars.

Outdoor living is enhanced by decks and/or stamped patios.

Homesites range from 0.29 to 0.58 acres. Nearly half of lots have treed backyards; those without, back to a tree line or neighboring wooded parcel.

Streets are enhanced by trees, curbs, and sidewalks on both sides of the street. Diane Cir and Elizabeth Cir have cul-de-sacs.

For those with sensitivities or concerns about visual encumbrance (clearly visible from homes on Elizabeth Cir), steel pole sub-transmission lines run beside the train tracks along the eastern end of the community. An outdoor above-ground substation (purple plot on map above) is located at 20461 Alboin Rd, roughly 670 feet northeast of Diane Cir homes.

There are no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Craig Estates.

Residences are served by Strongsville City School District.

Convenient Location

Craig Estates is located in northwest Strongsville off the east side of Prospect Rd, roughly 450 feet south of Albion Rd.

Highway access is ideal, with 8 min to both I-80/Turnpike and I-71.

SouthPark Mall and Strongsville’s bustling retail sector is just a 9 min drive.

The Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center is 7 min away, offering residents a pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, massage therapy, ball courts, indoor elevated track, weight and exercise room, and game area with pool tables, ping pong, video games, air hockey and more.

As for parks, Strongsville has nine city parks with ball courts/fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, pavilions, and trails.

Nature and fitness lovers will appreciate being close to the Cleveland Metroparks’ Big Creek and Mill Stream Run. Mill Stream Run Reservation‘s 8.9-mile paved All Purpose Trail (8 min bike or a 4 min drive to the nearest parking lot) intersects the trails of Big Creek and the multi-purpose trail along Valley Parkway. Heading east, Valley Parkway trail connects to Brecksville Reservation and the 81-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. To the west, it leads through Mill Stream Run Reservation all the way to Rocky River Reservation. Mill Stream Run (less than 2 min east) also offers hiking, picnic areas, horseback riding, archery, ziplining, axe throwing, and tobogganing at The Chalet—the tallest, fastest toboggan ice chutes in Ohio.

Golfers are 7-9 min to Royal Crest, Hickory Nut, and Columbia Hills golf courses.
