Sunwood Oval is a charming single-street community of 36 detached limited-maintenance cluster homes in Strongsville, Ohio. As a sub-association of Deerfield Lake, residents have access to its family-friendly amenities.
This development is 0.3 miles west of Howe Rd, off the north side of Boston Rd. It comprises the street of Sunwood Ov.

Sunwood Oval is a U-shaped street with two entrances off the north side of Boston Rd. Entrances are decorated by a landscape bed with red brick signage walls and pillars topped by spherical capping stones.
As a single-street community with no connection to another development, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.
The community has curbs and sidewalks on one side of the street.
Post is delivered to cluster mailbox units near the entrance.
Homes near the front of the community are shielded from the main road by an earth berm with mature trees (yellow parcels within the orange border on above map).
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Sunwood Oval are approximately $185/month, which include landscaping and snow removal, plus $500/annually for the recreation amenities of Deerfield Lake.
Bordering this subdivision to the north and west are the single-family homes of Deerfield Lake.
Other limited-maintenance cluster home sub-associations within Deerfield Lake include Villas of Brittany.

Deerfield Lake’s main recreation area (a 4 min drive, 7 min bike, or 25 min walk from Sunwood Oval) is located at 17144 Golden Star Dr and includes a 75′ x 45′ rectangular pool and a 15′ x 20′ wading pool, two tennis courts, a playground, multi-purpose field, large catch-and-release pond, and an octagonal clubhouse that residents can reserve for events. The clubhouse’s striking interior (pictured above) has wood paneling, skylights, and a stairway built on a sloping tree trunk.
The southern recreation area (an 8 min walk from Sunwood Oval) is an 11.88-acre parcel with an open meadow, play structure, swings, a tennis court, and a wooded walking path encircling a catch-and-release pond. This area is accessible through the field between 19417 & 19449 Misty Lake Dr.
