About Albion Oaks in Strongsville

Albion Oaks is a community of 31 homes with no HOA fees in northwest Strongsville Ohio.

Homes were constructed between 2002-2007 by builders including Garland Griffin Homes and New Century Builders. Some homes have since been updated.

Homes include colonial and ranch that mainly range from 2,200-3,800 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms. 

Traditionally-styled facades have partial brick or stone accents.

First floors feature hardwood or LVP flooring, two-story foyers with open staircases, laundry rooms with utility tubs, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, private dens and/or formal living rooms, and fireplaced great rooms (some vaulted or two-story) that are open to kitchens with quartz or granite countertops, center islands, breakfast bar seating, dinette area, and pantry. Owner’s suites have vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities, soaking/jetted tubs and/or walk-in showers. Full finished lower levels (a few are coveted walkouts!) offer media rooms, bars, and workout rooms. Garages, most are front-entry, accommodate 2-3 cars.

Outdoor living is enhanced by decks and/or stamped patios.

Homesites range from .29 to .66 acres. Many homes have treed backyards and/or abut a treeline.

For those with sensitivities or concerns about visual encumbrance, steel pole sub-transmission lines run beside the train tracks along the eastern end of the community. Directly across the street from the community entrance is an electric power station (purple plot on map below).

The entrance street of Scotch Pine Way is off Albion Rd, just east of Prospect Rd.

In addition to Scotch Pine Way, the community also encompasses Prairie Meadows Pl. Both streets have cul-de-sacs, street trees, curbs, and sidewalks on both sides of the street.

To the west of Prairie Meadows Pl cul-de-sac is a charter school.

There are no Homeowner’s Association fees at Albion Oaks.

Residences are served by Strongsville City School District.

Convenient Location

Albion Oaks is located in northwest Strongsville, near the border of Berea and Columbia Station. The subdivision is off the north side of Albion Rd, 0.3 miles east of Prospect Rd.

Highway access is ideal, with 8 min to both I-80/Turnpike and I-71.

SouthPark Mall and Strongsville’s bustling retail sector is just a 9 min drive.

The Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center is 7 min away, offering residents a pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, massage therapy, ball courts, indoor elevated track, weight and exercise room, and game area with pool tables, ping pong, video games, air hockey and more.

As for parks, Strongsville has nine city parks with ball courts/fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, pavilions, and trails.

Nature and fitness lovers will appreciate being surrounded by the offerings of Cleveland Metroparks’ Big Creek and Mill Stream Run. Mill Stream Run Reservation‘s 8.9-mile paved All Purpose Trail (4 min bike or 15 min walk) intersects the trails of Big Creek and the multi-purpose trail along Valley Parkway. Heading east, Valley Parkway trail connects to Brecksville Reservation and the 81-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. To the west, it leads through Mill Stream Run Reservation all the way to Rocky River Reservation. Mill Stream Run also offers hiking, picnic areas, horseback riding, archery, ziplining, axe throwing, and tobogganing at The Chalet—the tallest, fastest toboggan ice chutes in Ohio.

Golfers are 7-10 min to Royal Crest, Hickory Nut, and Columbia Hills golf courses.
