About Hunting Meadows in Strongsville
Hunting Meadows is a community of roughly 730 single-family homes in Strongsville, Ohio, convenient to restaurants, pharmacy, banking, grocers and retail.
This subdivision is located east of Pearl Rd, between Shurmer and Drake Roads.
It comprises the streets of Antler Ln, Badger Den Ln, Bear Creek Ln, Beaver Cir, Bob White Cir, Deer Path Dr, Deerfield Dr, Doe Cir, Eagles Nest Cir, Fawn Cir, Fox Hollow Dr, Grouse Run Pl, Hawks Lookout Ln, Hunting Meadows Dr, Mallard Cir, Partridge Dr, Pheasant Trl, Quail Hollow Dr, Rabbit Run Dr, Raccoon Trl, Ringneck Cir, Squirrel Hollow Ln, Stag Thicket Ln, Turkey Meadow Ln, Wolf Run Cir, the northwest portion of Lanier Ave (house numbers 16699 and higher), and approximately 23 homes on the north side of Drake Rd (even house numbers 17648-18446).

Homes were primarily built from 1973-1980, with the final few homes constructed through 1987.
Floorplans include ranch, split-level and two-story designs ranging from 1,800-4,700 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms.
Elevations include both contemporary and traditional designs of full vinyl, full brick or partial brick.
Common features include hardwood or LVP flooring, large principal living areas, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms, fireplaced great rooms (some with beamed ceilings and wet bars), and kitchens featuring quartz or granite countertops, a pantry and dinette area. Second-level owner’s suites have walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with enclosed commodes. Homes with finished basements (bi-level homes have slab foundations) offer media rooms, bars, billiard areas, and/or workout rooms.
Garages, most are front-entry, accommodate 2-3 cars.
Backyards are appointed with composite decks and/or stamped patios for outdoor living. Many backyards are treed or wooded, offering privacy and shade.
Lots measure approximately 75′ wide and range from 0.21 to 0.91 acres.
Roughly 16 homes along the west end of the development abut the wooded 16-acre Gardenview Horticultural Park.
Allen Park, a 16-acre meadow used by youth lacrosse teams, borders the northeast corner of the subdivision.
⚠️A tributary stream of the East Branch Rocky River crosses the northeast corner of Fox Hollow Dr and a portion of northern Hunting Meadows Dr. Stream-adjacent properties may have special flood hazards. View FEMA Flood Map.
In 2012, the city sealed sanitary sewer joints to curb issues with sanitary sewer backups previously affecting homes during storms.

There are five entrances to Hunting Meadows: from Shurmer Rd via Hunting Meadows Dr and Fox Hollow Dr; and from Drake Rd via Bear Creek Ln, Deer Path Dr, and Quail Hollow Dr. Each entrance has a landscaped bed with signage surrounded by garden stones.
Streets are lined by lantern-style streetlights, street trees, curbs, and sidewalks on both sides of the street.
There are Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Hunting Meadows.
Hunting Meadows adjoins the community of Apple Creek to the east and Meadows East to the northeast.
The development surrounds but is not connected to the Hampton Chase subdivision.
