Crown Colony in Hudson
Crown Colony is a community in northeastern Hudson, Ohio with roughly 108 homes adjacent to the public school campus and forested parkland with trails, and across from the city’s keystone park and trails.
This subdivision is located off the west side of Stow Rd, 0.8 miles north of E Streetsboro St (303). It comprises the streets of St. James Cir, Kings Way, Victoria Cir and Victoria Pkwy, three homes along the south end of Glenn Echo Dr, the middle section of N Hayden Pkwy, and two homes on Stow Rd.


Homes were constructed from 1975-1984 and have since been updated. Builders include Hargreaves and Longwell Builders.
Consistent with the designs of homes throughout historic Hudson, traditional facades include Colonial Revival, Greek Revival, Federal, Tudor, and farmhouse styles.
These colonial and cape cod homes range in size from 2,500-4,900 square feet with 4-6 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms.

Owner’s suites include sitting areas, walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Full finished lower levels are complete with media rooms, kitchenettes, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Professionally designed backyards feature lush landscape beds, paver patios and/or composite decks, pergolas or gazebos, fireplaces or fire pits, and water features.
Residences have public sewer and utilize either public or well water.
Homesites range from 0.44 to 1 acre.
Lots are lightly treed to heavily treed.
Some backyards abut wooded common area (designated in yellow on map above), providing a buffer between neighboring homes.
Portions of this development are surrounded by city-owned parkland (designated in green on above map). The 33-acre hardwood forest of Bicentennial Woods Park is southeast of Victoria Pkwy, offering endless views of nature. There is a direct entrance to the park’s half-mile trail off Victoria Pkwy, which connects to Hudson Springs Park across the street.
A small stream meanders behind lots along the northwest side of Victoria Pkwy, where there may be riparian setbacks.
There is one direct entrance to this subdivision, via Victoria Pkwy from Stow Rd.
Crown Colony is also accessible through the adjoining subdivisions of Colony Terrace and Evamere Heights, which have entrances off Hudson Aurora St and E Streetsboro St.
Crown Colony’s streets are lined by mature trees, curbs, streetlights, and sidewalks on one side of the street.
Sidewalks lead directly to the Hudson City Schools’ campus (Elementary, Intermediate and Middle schools) off N Hayden Pkwy so children can walk to school safely.
Kings Way, St James Cir and Victoria Cir have cul-de-sacs.
There are no mandatory Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Crown Colony.
Other nearby communities include Red Coach Lane and Warner Estates.

The subdivision of Crown Colony is located in northeastern Hudson, Ohio (Summit County), off the west side of Stow Rd, 0.8 miles north of E Streetsboro St (303), and immediately south of I-80/Turnpike.
Highways are accessible in 6 min to I-480, 8 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 15 min to I-271.

This neighborhood is served by the nationally acclaimed Hudson City School District. The development has sidewalks leading directly to the Elementary, Intermediate, and Middle School. Hudson High School is a 3 min drive north.
A number of nearby private schools also serve the community, including Western Reserve Academy (grades 9-12), Seton Catholic School (K-8, only 0.4 miles south of this development), and Hudson Montessori School (preschool-8th grade) — each located in Hudson; Old Trail School (preschool-8th grade) in Fairlawn; and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (grades 7-12) in Cuyahoga Falls.
It’s a 6 min drive to First & Main in downtown Hudson, an upscale retail district with national chain stores along with locally-owned shops and restaurants. First & Main is also home to more than a dozen annual events in the park-like square.
Shoppers will appreciate being 12 min from Aurora Farms Premium Outlets with 50+ outlet stores of the most popular brands.

The aforementioned trail from the neighboring Bicentennial Woods Park, leads to the 260-acre Hudson Springs Park, offering a 50-acre stocked lake for fishing or boating, 2.2 miles of shaded trails, picnic pavilions, disk golf course, horseshoe courts, volleyball courts, bocce ball court, children’s hedge maze, and a playground.
Directly north of is the paved 1.5-mile Turnpike Trail that runs between Stow and Hudson-Aurora roads, also leading to Hudson Springs Park.
You are 8 min from Summit Bike and Hike Trail (Silver Springs Trailhead), which offers 34 miles of trails past the Cuyahoga Valley National Forest and through Summit, Cuyahoga and Portage counties.
The 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park is just 14 min away, which includes the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
Golfers are only 10 min from the city-owned golf club, Ellsworth Meadows. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, it’s 7 min to Hudson Country Club and 10 min to Lake Forest Country Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 19 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
