About Craig Estates in Strongsville

Craig Estates is a community of 46 homes in northwest Strongsville, Ohio, comprising the streets of Craig Dr, Diane Cir, and Elizabeth Cir. This subdivision is located south of Albion Rd, off the east side of Prospect Rd, and is accessible via Rudy Dr.

Craig Estates homes were constructed between 2000-2009.

Phase I homes (northern half of the subdivision) were constructed by Tanglewood Elite Builders (Chiuchiarelli & Colabianchi Builders), which encompass Diane Cir and house numbers 11342-11518 Craig Dr.

Phase II homes, which include 11555-11814 Craig Dr and Elizabeth Cir, were primarily built by A.J. Bokar Building Co (WillowWood Homes).

Floorplans include ranch and two-story styles that mainly range from 1,900-4,300 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms. 

Traditionally styled facades are designed with full vinyl or brick accents.

Primary features in Craig Estates homes include hardwood or LVP flooring, main floor laundry rooms with utility tubs, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings and trimwork, and fireplaced great rooms (some with vaulted or volume ceilings) that are open to kitchens featuring quartz or granite countertops, a center island, breakfast bar, pantry, and dinette area. Some floorplans include private dens, sitting rooms or sunrooms. Owner’s suites (most are second floor) have vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sink vanities, soaking/jetted tubs, and walk-in showers. Full finished lower levels may have media rooms, bars, and workout rooms.

Attached garages (most are front-entry) accommodate 2-3 cars.

Outdoor living is enhanced by decks and/or stamped patios.

Many homesites have treed backyards. Those without treed backyards back to a treeline or neighboring wooded parcel.

Lots measure approximately 75′ wide and range from 0.29 to 0.58 acres.

Streets are enhanced by trees, curbs, and sidewalks.

Diane Cir and Elizabeth Cir have cul-de-sacs.

Steel pole sub-transmission lines run beside the train tracks along the eastern end of the community, for those with sensitivities or concerns about home values or visual encumbrance (visible from homes on Elizabeth Cir). An above-ground substation (purple plot on map above) is located at 20461 Albion Rd, roughly 670 feet northeast of Diane Cir homes.

There are no Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Craig Estates.

Residences are served by Strongsville City School District.

Craig Estates is located in northwest Strongsville off the east side of Prospect Rd, roughly 450 feet south of Albion Rd.

Highway access is ideal, with 8 min to both I-80/Turnpike and I-71.

SouthPark Mall and Strongsville’s bustling retail sector is just a 9 min drive.

The Strongsville Recreation and Senior Center is 7 min away, offering residents a pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, massage therapy, ball courts, indoor elevated track, weight and exercise room, and game area with pool tables, ping pong, video games, air hockey and more.

As for parks, Strongsville has nine city parks with ball courts/fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, pavilions, and trails.

Nature and fitness lovers will appreciate being close to the Cleveland Metroparks’ Big Creek and Mill Stream Run. Mill Stream Run Reservation‘s 8.9-mile paved All Purpose Trail (8 min bike or a 4 min drive to the nearest parking lot) intersects the trails of Big Creek and the multi-purpose trail along Valley Parkway. Heading east, Valley Parkway trail connects to Brecksville Reservation and the 81-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail. To the west, it leads through Mill Stream Run Reservation all the way to Rocky River Reservation. Mill Stream Run (less than 2 min east) also offers hiking, picnic areas, horseback riding, archery, ziplining, axe throwing, and tobogganing.

Golfers are 7-9 min to Royal Crest and Columbia Hills golf courses.
