Country Club Estates in Hudson
Country Club Estates is a community of 67 homes in northern Hudson, Ohio, with direct access to Darrow Road Park’s trails and just a stone’s throw from The Country Club of Hudson.
This subdivision is located off the south side of Middleton Rd, 0.6 miles east of Darrow Rd. Country Club Estates comprises the streets of Cypress Point Dr, Lacosta Dr and Tamarisk Ct, as well as five homes on the east end of Edgeview Dr, all but three homes on Lascala Dr (house numbers 7280-7532), four homes on the west end of Leeway Dr, two homes on the south side of Middleton Rd, and four homes on the west end of Woodacre Dr.


Homes were built from 1978-1986 with the final home built in 1992. Builders include Ken Payne.
Facades showcase New England-style architecture, including Colonial Revival, Dutch Colonial Revival, Greek Revival and Tudor Revival, as well as some transitional/soft contemporary styles. Most front elevations are constructed with full vinyl, but there are some partial or full brick fronts (with a few homes boasting full brick surround!).
Homes range from 2,800-5,000 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5+ bathrooms.
Homes are appointed with desirable amenities including first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, two-story foyers with open staircases, hardwood flooring, multiple fireplaces, extensive millwork, specialty ceilings, formal dining rooms, formal living rooms and/or private dens with built-ins, mud halls with built-ins, and fireplaced great rooms with large windows and vaulted or two-story ceilings that open to updated kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, a center island, breakfast bar, tile backsplash, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and sunroom. Vaulted owner’s suites (most are second floor) include sitting areas, walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Full finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with theater or media rooms, kitchenettes, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Attached side-entry garages maximize curb appeal and accommodate 2-4 cars.
Residences have public sewer and well water.
Professionally designed backyards feature landscaping, custom stamped concrete patios and/or composite decks, covered living areas, pergolas or gazebos, fireplaces or fire pits, water features, and even in-ground pools.
Homesites range from 0.61 to 1 acre.
Lots feature varying levels of tree coverage, ranging from sparse to dense.
The southwest side of the community borders the dense forest of the 60-acre Darrow Road Park (green section on above map), extending privacy and timbered views to abutting homes. Nature and fitness enthusiasts will appreciate direct access to its 1.25-mile nature trail (dashed red line on illustrated map above) from the west side of Lascala Dr, across from the intersection with Leeway Dr.
Wetlands are present near lots bordering the northeast corner of the park.
A drainage ditch runs along the rear property lines of homes on the south side of Leeway Dr.

The entrance to Lascala Dr is designated by a landscaped bed with community signage and wooden three-rail ranch-style fencing.
As is typical of Hudson neighborhoods, this development does not have curbs or sidewalks. There are, however, sidewalks along one side of Herrick Park Dr (near the southwest end of this subdivision), which extend to Darrow Rd and Hudson Aurora Rd.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Country Club Estates are approximately $60 annually.
Residents enjoy annual social events like the autumn chili cook-off, summer social, block party, and Christmas party.
Country Club Estates adjoins Leeway Acres to the east, The Woods of Western Reserve to the south, and Scenic View Estates to the west.

The subdivision of Country Club Estates is located in northern Hudson, Ohio (Summit County), off the south side of Middleton Rd, 0.6 miles east of Darrow Rd.
Highways are accessible in 12 min to I-271, I-480, and I-80/Turnpike.
This neighborhood is served by the nationally acclaimed Hudson City School District. Close proximity to Hudson High School, Middle School, and Ellsworth Hill Elementary (all within a 6 min drive), as well as other local private schools, means transporting the kids to school will be a breeze.
A number of private schools also serve the community, including Western Reserve Academy (grades 9-12), Seton Catholic School (K-8), and Hudson Montessori School (preschool-8th grade) — each located in Hudson; Old Trail School (preschool-8th grade) in Fairlawn; and Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy (grades 7-12) in Cuyahoga Falls.
It’s a 7 min drive to First & Main in downtown Hudson, an upscale retail district with national chain stores along with locally-owned shops and restaurants. First & Main is also home to more than a dozen annual events in the park-like square.

About 6 min away is Hudson Springs Park with 260 acres, a 50-acre stocked lake for fishing or boating, 2.2 miles of shaded trails encircling the water, picnic pavilions, a disk golf course, horseshoe courts, volleyball courts, bocce ball court, and a playground.
You are 11 min from Summit Bike and Hike Trail (both the Barlow & Terex Trailhead and also Silver Springs Lot Trailhead), which offers 34 miles past the Cuyahoga Valley National Forest and through Summit, Cuyahoga and Portage counties.
The 33,000-acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park is just 10 min away, which includes the Cuyahoga River and numerous waterfalls, the 87-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, and the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad.
Golfers are only 10 min from the city-owned golf club, Ellsworth Meadows. If you’re looking for social membership and golf, you’re just 0.3 miles east of The Country Club of Hudson and 9 min to Lake Forest Country Club.
Boston Mills and Brandywine Ski Resorts are a 15 min drive for skiing and tubing during the winter months.
