Chandler Commons in Strongsville

Chandler Commons is a community of approximately 285 single-family luxury homes with premium recreational amenities (described in the subsequent ‘Neighborhood Amenities’ section below).

This subdivision is located in southeast Strongsville, Ohio near the eastern intersection of Benbow and Boston Roads, encompassing the streets of Bennington Dr, Camden Dr, Castletown Dr (aka Castletown Oval), Clinton Cir, Crown Point Pkwy, Dorchester Cir, E Hartford Dr, Hastings Ct, Jamestown Cir, Julie Cir, Laurell Cir, Trenton Ave, Trenton Oval, the southern half of Stony Point Dr (house numbers 18794 and higher), and a few homes along Hunt Rd and Boston Rd.

Chandler Commons Real Estate:

Most homes were built between 1977-1990. Residences along Chandler Green Dr, 14869 & 14911 Trenton Ave, and the ten southernmost homes along Stony Point Dr were the final phase single-family homes (sometimes called Greens of Chandler Commons) constructed from 1994-2000.

Homes include ranch and 2-story floorplans, mainly ranging from 1,800-4,600 square feet with 4-5 bedrooms and 3-5 bathrooms.

These homes feature hardwood or LVP flooring, first-floor laundry rooms with cabinets and utility tubs, formal living rooms, formal dining rooms, private dens, and fireplaced great rooms that open to kitchens with quartz or granite countertops, a walk-in pantry and dinette area. Owner’s suites (some are vaulted) have walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities, soaking/jetted tubs, walk-in showers, and enclosed commodes. Full finished lower levels may include media rooms, bars, billiard areas, and workout rooms. Front-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.

Backyards are exquisitely appointed with professional landscaping, composite decks and/or custom stamped/paver patios. Backyard fences, sheds, playsets and gardens are permitted.

Most homesites measure approximately 75-80′ wide and mainly range from 0.22 to 0.50 acres. The final phase of homes (Greens of Chander Commons) have slightly wider lots measuring 85-110′ wide and range from 0.29 to 0.40 acres.

Many lots offer treed or wooded backyards, offering privacy, lush views, birdsong, shade, and cooler al fresco enjoyment.

This subdivision has three direct entrances: Crown Point Pkwy from the south side of Hunt Rd, Bennington Dr from the north side of Boston Rd, and Chandler Green Dr from the east side of Bendow Rd. The main entrance, Crown Point Pkwy, has an elongated median with lush landscaping and a stacked stone brick signage wall. The entrances to Bennington Dr and Chandler Green Dr are enhanced by landscaped beds with brick signage walls.

The following are cul-de-sac streets: Camden Dr, Chandler Green Dr, Clinton Cir, Crown Point Pkwy, Dorchester Cir, Hastings Ct, Jamestown Cir, Julie Cir, Laurell Cir, Stony Point Dr, and Trenton Oval.

All streets are lined by street trees, curbs and sidewalks.

Paved walkways connect the streets of Camden Dr and Trenton Ave, as well as the cul-de-sacs of Crown Point Pkwy and Camden Dr, providing pedestrian shortcuts to different sections of the development and its recreation amenities.

Residences are served by Strongsville City School District.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Chandler Commons are approximately $425 annually.

To the north is the sister community of Stony Point of Chandler Commons.

To the southwest, this neighborhood adjoins The Trails subdivision of homes similarly sized and aged.

To the southeast are the homes of Whispering Orchard.

Neighborhood Amenities:

This neighborhood’s well-maintained recreational amenities (aerial photo below) include an outdoor pool, clubhouse, sand volleyball court, tennis/pickleball court, full basketball court, baseball field, playground, and a fireplaced pavilion with picnic tables that residents can reserve for parties (all located at 18852 Stony Point Dr).

HOA-owned common area/greenspace is distributed throughout the community (yellow areas within the red boundary on the above-illustrated map) extending treed or meadow views. Yellow parcels outside of the border belong to abutting subdivisions.

The Social Committee plans numerous family-friendly and adult events that bring neighbors together throughout the year.

This neighborhood is also home to one of Northeast Ohio’s most beloved Christmas light displays, the Crown Point Parkway Festival of Lights. As featured on ABC’s Great Christmas Light Fight in 2015, Dan Hoag’s display at 14395 Crown Point Pkwy has been illuminating the holiday season since 1988, with weekend visits from Santa, baked goods, and hot chocolate. Each year, Hoag collects donations from his display to benefit local individuals in need.

Chandler Commons is located in southeast Strongsville, along the border of North Royalton and Brunswick, near the eastern intersection of Benbow Rd and Boston Rd.

Highways are accessible in 7-11 min to I-71 and I-80/Turnpike. 🔊INTERSTATE NOISE: I-71 runs just beyond the western end of the community (some homes are as close as 0.2 miles), which can subject it to interstate noise.

Strongsville’s bustling retail sector and SouthPark Mall are a 7-10 min drive.

The Ehrnfelt Recreation and Senior Center is 10-16 min away, offering residents a pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, massage therapy, ball courts, indoor elevated track, weight and exercise room, and game area with pool tables, ping pong, video games, air hockey and more.

As for parks, Strongsville has nine city parks with ball courts/fields, playgrounds, picnic areas, pavilions, and trails.

There’s also the Metroparks’ Mill Stream Run Reservation 7-10 min away, part of Cleveland Metroparks, where visitors can engage in hiking, horseback riding, archery, ziplining, axe throwing, and tobogganing at The Chalet on the tallest, fastest toboggan ice chutes in Ohio.

Golfers have several courses including Pine Hills, Valleaire, Briarwood, Royal Crest, and Coppertop within 20 min.
