The Villas of Brittany is a charming single-street community of 14 limited-maintenance detached cluster homes in Strongsville, Ohio. As a sub-association of Deerfield Lake, residents have access to its family-friendly amenities.
This development comprises Brittany Pl, located off the north side of Boston Rd, 0.4 miles west of Howe Rd.
Villas of Brittany Real Estate:
The Villas of Brittany cluster homes were built by Hickory Hills Homes in 1994.
These single-standing homes include ranch and 1.5-story designs that range from 1,200-2,200 square feet with 2-4 bedrooms and 2-3 bathrooms.
Brick-accented facades are adorned with covered front entryways (some with extended porches) and exquisite landscaping. Inside, features include first-floor laundry rooms, private dens (or a bedroom), open-concept formal dining area & great room with vaulted ceilings, kitchens with a pantry and dinette area, and second-floor lofts. First-floor owner’s suites have en-suite bathrooms with soaking/jetted tubs and a walk-in shower. Foundations are slab (no basements).
Front-entry garages accommodate 2 cars and include an attic.
Backyards are appointed with patios and/or even screened-in porches.
Homesites range from 0.11 to 0.36 acres with treed backyards.
The entrance to Brittany Pl is flanked by lush landscape beds with curved red brick signage walls with pillars topped by spherical capping stones.
As a single-street community with no connection to another development, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.
Brittany Pl has curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street.
In the center of the development is a landscaped island with a gazebo, parking pads, walkways, and a cluster mailbox unit.
Homes near the front of the community are shielded from the main road by an earth berm with mature evergreen trees (yellow parcels within the green border on above map).
Surrounding the subdivision to the west are the homes of Deerfield Woods, and to the north and east are the single-family homes of Deerfield Lake.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at The Villas of Brittany are approximately $200/month, which includes landscaping and snow removal, plus $500/annually for the recreation amenities of Deerfield Lake.
Other limited-maintenance cluster home sub-associations of Deerfield Lake include Sunwood Oval.
Community Amenities:
Deerfield Lake’s main recreation area (a 4 min drive, 7 min bike, or 25 min walk from Villas of Brittany) is located at 17144 Golden Star Dr and includes a 75′ x 45′ rectangular pool, a 15′ x 20′ wading pool, two tennis courts, a playground, multi-purpose field, large catch-and-release pond, and a clubhouse that residents can reserve for events. The octagonal clubhouse’s striking interior (pictured above) has wood paneling, skylights, and a stairway built on a sloping tree trunk.
The southern recreation area (an 8 min walk from Villas of Brittany) is an 11.88-acre parcel with an open meadow, play structure, swings, a tennis court, and a wooded walking path encircling a catch-and-release pond. This area is accessible through the field between 19417 & 19449 Misty Lake Dr.
