About Fountain Pointe in North Royalton

Fountain Pointe (also called Thornton Subdivision) is a single-street community of 41 homes across from The Metroparks in North Royalton, Ohio. This subdivision comprises the cul-de-sac street of Thornton Dr, located 0.4 miles east of W 130th St, off the north side of W Edgerton Rd.

Homes were built by Pulte Homes between 2001-2002.

These two-story homes range from 1,400-3,100 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms.

Inside, homes are appointed with hardwood or LVP flooring, first-floor laundry rooms, formal living rooms/flex rooms (select floorplans), and fireplaced great rooms (some are two-story) that are open to kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, a center island, pantry, and dinette area. Spacious second-floor owner’s suites (some have vaulted ceilings) include walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and dual sink vanity. Finished lower levels may have media rooms, bars, and exercise rooms.

Attached front-entry garages accommodate 2 cars.

Backyards feature patios and/or composite decks.

Homesites measure approximately 52′ wide and are primarily sized from 0.13 to 0.15 acres. These easily manageable lot sizes are appealing to buyers who prefer minimal yard work. There are also a few larger lots up to 0.32 acres.

Homes along the north end and the east side of the cul-de-sac boast wooded backyards.

Sixteen homes along the western side of the street abut a 3.2-acre wooded common area parcel (large yellow parcel on above-illustrated map) offering privacy and nature views.

Several tributary streams of the Rocky River East Branch meander around the border of the community, offering rolling or ravined topography. View FEMA Flood Map.

The entrance to Thornton Dr is flanked on the left by community signage and a stocked and fountained pond with park benches where residents can enjoy the serenity.

Thornton Dr has curbs, sidewalks on one side of the street, and a permanent cul-de-sac.

With only one entrance and no connection to another subdivision, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.

Post is delivered to the cluster mailbox unit near the entrance.

NOTE: Just beyond the forest to the east are the City of North Royalton’s Wastewater Treatment and Sewage Plants.

This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated North Royalton City School District.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Fountain Pointe are approximately $300 annually.

Highways are accessible in 4 min to I-71, 9 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 15 min to I-77.

SouthPark Mall and Strongsville’s bustling retail sector is only a 7 min drive.

The Metroparks’ Valley Parkway Connector Trail is less than a mile away (a 5 min bike, or 2 min drive to the trail parking lot). Royalview Trailhead (12 min bike or 5 min drive) has roughly 10 miles of wooded mountain bike/nature trails. The main section of Mill Stream Run Reservation is a 3 min drive with trails, rope courses and zip lines, as well as The Chalet, which has two toboggan chutes that are open in the winter. Aukerman Park‘s dog agility course is 4 min away.

Golfers are only 12 min or less from Valleaire, Briarwood, Pine Hills, Hinckley Hills, Ironwood, and Seneca.
