About Echo Lake in Strongsville
Echo Lake is a community of single-family homes and limited-maintenance townhomes in Strongsville, Ohio with a swimming pool, clubhouse, playground, and tennis/pickleball court.
NOTE: This page describes Echo Lake’s single-family homes only.
This subdivision is located off the west side of Pearl Rd, 0.4 miles north of Drake Rd. Single-family homes comprise the streets of Academy Dr, Benwood Ct, Burnham Dr, Echo Dr, Stoughton Dr, Summer Place Dr, and Woodshire Dr.

Bennett Builders constructed roughly 160 single-family homes between 1988-1999. These 2-story homes range from 2,000-4,600 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4 bathrooms. Facades include contemporary, traditional, and Tudor designs, many with partial or full brick/stone.
The final 38 homes along the south end of Woodshire Dr (house numbers 16790 and higher) were built from 2011-2014 by Drees Homes (aka Bakers Creek subdivision). These are also 2-story homes that range from 1,700-3,900 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms. Elevations are modern farmhouse styles with white rakeboard/fascia trim and gable accents. Each has a covered front entryway, many with extended front porches. Two pre-existing homes (grayed-out parcels) on this street do not belong to the HOA.
Echo Lake‘s single-family homes offer LVP flooring, dramatic two-story foyers with turned staircases, first-floor laundry rooms with utility tubs, private dens and/or formal living rooms, formal dining rooms, and fireplaced great rooms that open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, a tile backsplash, center island, pantry, and dining area. Second-floor owner’s suites offer walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with soaking jetted tubs and/or tiled walk-in showers, dual sink vanities, and enclosed commodes. Full finished lower levels include media rooms, bars and exercise rooms.
Attached garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Backyards include patios and/or composite decks. Most backyards are treed.
Single-family homesites have approximately 75′ to 85′ frontage and generally range from 0.26 to 0.37 acres.
Many homes abut a portion of HOA-owned common space totaling over 26 acres (yellow areas on illustrated map above) offering treed, meadow and pond views.

Echo Lake amenities (swimming pool, rentable clubhouse, playground, and tennis/pickleball court) are located at 19150 Echo Dr on a 3.05-acre parcel near the community entrance.
Baker Creek meanders along the west end and a tributary stream flows along the east end of the subdivision (blue lines on above-illustrated map). View FEMA Flood Map.

The entrance to Echo Dr has a divided median with landscaped signage.
Streets are lined with lantern-style streetlights, street trees, curbs, and sidewalks on both sides of the street.
Benwood Ct, Stoughton Dr, Summer Place Dr, and Woodshire Dr have cul-de-sacs.
Echo Lake is also accessible through the adjoining developments of Walnut Creek from Lunn Rd and Forest Glen from Drake Rd.
Residences are served by Strongsville City School District. The high school and preschool are a 4 min drive north; the elementary school is 6 min south.
