About Castlewood in Strongsville

Castlewood is an upscale single-street enclave of 26 single-family luxury homes in northwest Strongsville, Ohio. This subdivision comprises the cul-de-sac street of Castlewood Dr, located off the west side of Prospect Rd, equidistant (0.7 miles) between Sprague Rd and Albion Rd.

This community was built exclusively by Ream Builders from 2006-2020.

Traditionally styled facades include full brick/stone or partial brick/stone with vinyl shake/shingle accents.

Homes are available as ranch and two-story designs ranging from 2,300-5,100 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms. 

First floors feature hardwood or LVP flooring, laundry rooms with cabinets and utility tubs, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, private dens or flex rooms, and fireplaced great rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows (some are vaulted or two-story) that are open to kitchens with quartz or granite countertops, a center island, breakfast bar, under-cabinet lighting, wall oven and microwave, dinette area, and walk-in pantry. First or second-floor owner’s suites have walk-in closets and spa-like en-suite bathrooms with quartz or granite dual sinks/vanities, a tiled walk-in shower, soaking/jetted tub, and enclosed commode. Full finished lower levels offer media rooms, bars, and workout rooms.

Garages (most are front-entry) accommodate 2-3 cars (some have a tandem 3rd stall).

Outdoor living is enhanced by stamped patios, some covered.

Backyard fences, storage sheds and in-ground pools are permitted.

Backyards are either partiall treed/wooded or abut a treeline for privacy.

Lots measure approximately 85′ to 93′ wide and range from 0.44 to 0.76 acres (average lot size is 0.52 acres).

There is a 1.25-acre common area parcel with a stormwater management pond at the northwest corner of the street.

The entrance to Castlewood Dr is designated by a curved stone signage wall surrounded by landscaping and evergreens.

The street has curbs, sidewalks, and a permanent cul-de-sac.

As a single-street community that is not connected to another subdivision, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.

The north side of the street abuts an established single-street development.

Residences are served by Strongsville City School District.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Castlewood are approximately $300 annually.

Highway access is ideal, with 11 min to I-80/Turnpike and 12 min to I-71.

SouthPark Mall and Strongsville’s bustling retail sector are just an 11-min drive.

The Strongsville Recreation and Senior Center is 9 min away, offering residents a pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool, massage therapy, ball courts, indoor elevated track, weight and exercise room, and game area with pool tables, ping pong, video games, air hockey and more.
