Chesapeake 04 (aka Chesapeake Subdivision No. 4) is a community of 33 elegant brick-front luxury homes with half-acre+ lots and heavily wooded backyards in North Royalton, Ohio.

This development comprises the eastern end of Chesapeake Dr (house numbers 9403-9325) and the cul-de-sac street of Roanoke Ct. These homes are accessible through the Monticello Subdivision via Chesapeake Dr located off the east side of York Rd via Chesapeake Dr, 0.3 miles north of Albion Rd.

The homes of Chesapeake 04 were built between 2001-2008 by Bailey Brothers, Cosmopolitan Homes, and J.E. Moran Builders.

You won’t find any basic vinyl facades here! Homes feature stately front elevations of full brick or stone/brick with stucco.

Some homes also have a masonry mailbox, further enhancing curb appeal.

Homes include ranch and two-story styles that range from 3,500-5,300 square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-4.5 bathrooms.

Inside, you’ll find open floorplans, hardwood or LVP flooring, formal living rooms and/or private dens, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, and two-story/vaulted great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open to kitchens with granite/quartz countertops, a center island, breakfast bar, tile backsplash, walk-in pantry, and dinette. First or second-floor owner’s suites include vaulted ceilings, walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers, soaking/jetted tubs, dual sinks/vanities, and enclosed lavatories. Finished lower levels (some are coveted walk-outs!) may have media rooms, kitchenettes, bars, and exercise rooms.

Attached side-entry garages accommodate 3 cars.

Living is extended outdoors with custom patios and/or decks and firepits.

Nearly every backyard is heavily forested, attracting songbirds and providing naural privacy, shade and significantly cooler al fresco entertaining on sunny summer days.

Sizable lots measure approximately 100′ wide with 50′ front setbacks, ranging from 0.46 to 1.89 acres (average lot size is 0.65 acres). Such lot sizes sufficiently accommodate the scale of homes and provide ample space from the street and neighboring homes.

Three properties on the north side of the street overlook a retention pond.

A tributary stream of Baldwin Creek meanders near the southern end of the development (dashed blue line on above map). Generally considered an environmental asset, streams enhance the natural setting, offering scenic ravined topography and opportunities for wildlife viewing.

This community has curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street.

Chesapeake Dr is currently a dead-end street. Roanoke Ct has a permanent cul-de-sac.

To the south are two parcels owned by the city (designated in yellow on above map), which abut the cul-de-sac street of Huntington Close (aka Achill Village).

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Chesapeake 04/Chesapeake Subdivision No. 4 are approximately $150 annually.

This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated North Royalton City School District.
