About Camelot Estates in North Royalton
Camelot Estates is an upscale community of 60 custom-built luxury homes close to The Metroparks in North Royalton, Ohio.
This subdivision is located 0.1 miles east of W Edgerton Rd, off the north side of Akins Rd. It comprises the residential streets of King Arthurs Ct, Lancelot Ln W, Lancelot Ln E, and Merlin Oval.
Homes were custom-built exclusively by Chiuchiarelli Builders in three phases from 1990-1996.
Facades feature timeless Colonial Revival, Contemporary, Neo-Colonial, Ranch, Transitional, and Tudor Revival architecture, with most facades constructed of stately full brick or substantial brick/stone accents.
These 1-story (ranch), 1.5-story, 2-story and 3-story homes primarily range from 2,200-3,300 above-grade square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 3-5 bathrooms. There are also a few larger homes with 4,600 above-grade square feet. Including finished basements, these homes can total 5,900 square feet.
First-floor amenities and principal rooms include hardwood or LVP flooring, laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets, front-entry foyers (many are two-story with turned or curved staircases), formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, formal living rooms, private dens with glass-paned french doors, and fireplaced great rooms (some are vaulted or two-story) that are open to large kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, a breakfast bar, pantry, and dinette area.
Spacious owner’s suites (located on the second level in 2-story homes) feature vaulted or tray ceilings and sitting areas (some homes), walk-in closets, and ensuite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities, walk-in showers, soaking tubs, and enclosed commodes.
A few homes have additional suites for teens, in-laws, guests, or au pairs.
Finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts, primarily along or near King Arthurs Ct) may have rec rooms, bars, media rooms, and exercise rooms.
Attached front or side-entry garages accommodate 2-3 cars.
Lots are approximately 100′ wide and mainly range from 0.39 to 0.69 acres. There are also more than a dozen larger lots up to 4.2 acres.
Outdoor living is enhanced by custom patios and/or decks, professional landscaping, gazebos and firepits.
Backyard storage sheds, playsets, gardens, and in-ground and above-ground swimming pools are permitted.
Most backyards are cleared or lightly treed. Properties along the north and northeast ends of the subdivision boast partially to heavily wooded backyards, offering birdsong, natural privacy, shade and significantly cooler al fresco entertaining on hot summer days.
A tributary stream of the East Branch Rocky River traverses the north end of King Arthurs Ct. Properties along King Arthurs Ct and 14751 Lancelot Ln East boast scenic rear-yard topography ranging from gently to dramatically sloping. The entrance to Lancelot Ln W is designated by a small landscaped bed with signage. Just beyond it, on the west side of the street, is a large fountained pond maintained by the HOA.
Streets are lined by mature street trees, curbs, and sidewalks throughout the development.
King Arthurs Ct and Merlin Oval have permanent cul-de-sacs.
With only one entrance and no connection to another development, traffic is limited to residents and their guests.
Directly west are Quail Ridge Condominiums.
Bordering the community directly north is a wooded 5.44-acre parcel owned by the city, beyond which are commercial plazas.
NOTE: The industrial parkway with the City of North Royalton’s Wastewater Sewage Plant is directly west of the King Arthurs Ct cul-de-sac.
This neighborhood is served by the highly-rated North Royalton City School District.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Camelot Estates are approximately $300 annually.

Highways are accessible in 5 min to I-71, 9 min to I-80/Turnpike, and 16 min to I-77.
SouthPark Mall and Strongsville’s bustling retail sector are only a 9-min drive.
The North Royalton YMCA is 11 min away, featuring a gymnasium with premium free weights and exercise equipment, cycling studio, yoga studio, an elevated 1/12 mile walking/running track, two-court basketball gymnasium, aquatics center, and an outdoor playground.
The Metroparks’ Valley Parkway Trail is a 5-min bike (or 3-min drive to the parking lot), which connects eastward to Brecksville Reservation and the 81-mile Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail and westward through Mill Stream Run Reservation all the way to Rocky River Reservation. The main section of Mill Stream Run Reservation is 5 min away with trails, rope courses and zip lines, and toboggan chutes. You are 12 min to Hinckley Reservation with a 90-acre lake, watersport rentals, hiking trails, and rock climbing.
Golfers have Valleaire, Briarwood, Pine Hills, Hinckley Hills, Ironwood, and Seneca are all within a 12-min drive.
