The subdivision of Whispering Winds has roughly 53 custom-built homes in Broadview Heights, Ohio, located on the west side of Avery Rd, between Royalton Rd and Wallings Rd. This subdivision comprises the streets of Treetop Trl, Bishops Ct, Woodwind Ct (also spelled Wood Wind Ct), and Windridge Dr.
These homes were constructed from 1989-2000 by builders including Petros Homes.
These colonial and ranch homes range mainly from 3,000-5,500+ square feet, with 3-6 bedrooms and 3.5-6.5 bathrooms.
Facades are mostly traditional full-brick, but there are also combinations of brick/stone with cedar or stucco.
The luxury homes of Whispering Winds are appointed with excellent craftsmanship, luxury finishes, and desirable amenities including zoned HVAC, central vac, extensive custom millwork, solid core doors, open floorplans, soaring custom ceilings, hardwood flooring, foyers (many two-story) with coat closets and turned or curved staircases, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, fireplaced formal living rooms, private dens, and laundry rooms with utility tubs and cabinets. Vaulted or two-story great rooms with fireplaces and floor-to-ceiling windows are open to kitchens featuring granite or quartz countertops, breakfast bar seating, tile backsplash, top-of-the-line appliances, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and even sunrooms. Owner’s suites include vaulted or tray ceilings, walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with tiled walk-in showers, soaking tubs, and dual sinks/vanities. Spacious guest bedrooms have walk-in closets. Full finished lower levels (some are coveted walkouts!) are complete with theater or media rooms, kitchenettes, bars, exercise rooms, and storage areas. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 3+ cars with stairs to the lower level.
Outdoor living is enhanced with composite decks and/or stamped patios and fire pits or fireplaces.
Generously sized homesites are approximately 100′ wide and 200′ deep, ranging from 0.47 to 2 acres. There is also one home on 4.78 acres.
Most lots have treed or wooded backyards.
Several streams flow along the perimeter of the community. Chippewa Creek, a direct tributary to the Cuyahoga River, runs along the southwestern portion. Living near these streams provides sloping topography and presents opportunities for fishing and wildlife-viewing of pheasants, wild turkeys, owls, herons, deer, foxes, and beavers. The entrance to Treetop Trl has a landscaped median in the center of the street with an engraved grindstone.
Streets in this development are enhanced by street trees, curbs, sidewalks along both sides of the street, and cul-de-sacs with landscaped islands and brick paver surround.
Residences are served by Brecksville-Broadview Heights City Schools.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Whispering Winds are approximately $50 annually.
Whispering Winds is separated from the community of Homestead Creek to the southwest by a large wooded parcel of common land (designated in yellow on above map) belonging to their HOA.

Whispering Winds is a luxury home community located in Broadview Heights Ohio on the west side of Avery Rd, between Royalton Rd and Wallings Rd.
The community is ideally situated 1.3 miles west of I-77—far enough away to evade interstate traffic noise, but still accessible in 5 minutes.
You are also conveniently located near downtown Broadview Heights for quick access to local dining and retail, as well as retail just across the border into Brecksville.
The city’s Rec Center is only 5 min south, which includes an indoor track, fitness & spinning room, pool, gymnasium, childcare, rentable rooms, skate park, tennis and pickleball courts, baseball and soccer fields, playground, and splash pad.
As for parks, Brecksville Reservation is only 8 min east. It is the largest of the 18 Cleveland Metroparks reservations, offering excellent trails with scenic gorges and waterfalls. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is only 15 minutes away, offering 33,000-acres with hiking trails, bike paths, a scenic railroad, and a vast array of flora & fauna.
If you’re a golfer, you are only 8 min to Seneca, and 9 min to Sleepy Hollow, and 10 min to Briarwood Golf Courses.
