The subdivision of Summerwood in Broadview Heights, Ohio has roughly 37 homes that were custom-built from 2001-2010 by builders including Petros Homes.
Homes range mainly from 2,800 to 5,500 square feet, with 3–6 bedrooms and 3.5–5.5 bathrooms. However, there is one home with 8,553 square feet. The majority of homes are colonial, but there are also cape cod and a couple of ranches as well.
Facades are mostly traditional full-brick, but there are also combinations of brick/stone with vinyl or stucco.
Inside, amenities include dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, marble tile or hardwood floors, granite kitchens with breakfast bar seating and dinettes/morning rooms, vaulted/two-story great rooms with fireplaces, formal dining rooms, a flex room (office or formal living room) first-floor laundry, first or second-floor owner’s suites with walk-in closets and en-suite bathrooms with dual sinks/vanities and walk-in shower, and coveted finished walk-out lower levels with media rooms, bars and exercise rooms. Living is extended to the outdoors with backyard decks and/or stamped patios.


Homesites are generously sized from.46 to .80 acres, with a few lots over 1 acre, allowing each home a 2-3 car side-entry garage.
Premium lots are available with wooded backyards and around any of the four cul-de-sacs, which are appointed with landscaped islands and brick surround.
Chippewa Creek, a direct tributary to the Cuyahoga River, runs along the northern and southeastern portion of the community. Living along Chippewa Creek provides a serene, natural setting and presents opportunities for fishing and wildlife-viewing of pheasants, wild turkeys, owls, herons, deer, foxes, and beavers.

There is one entrance to the development, via Summerwood Dr, off Avery Rd. The entrance is flanked on either side by stately stacked stone signage surrounded by landscaping and mature pines. In the center of the street is a divided median with lush landscaping.
The community also encompasses the streets of Crooked Creek Ln, Stillwater Ct, and two homes on Avery Rd.
There are curbs and sidewalks along both sides of the street and each intersection has custom iron street signage.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Summerwood are approximately $400 annually.
Other nearby communities include the subdivision of Homestead Creek (across the street), Whispering Winds, and Forestbrook Estates.

As for parks, Brecksville Reservation is only 8 min east. It is the largest of the 18 Cleveland Metroparks reservations, offering excellent trails with scenic gorges and waterfalls. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is only 15 minutes away, offering 33,000-acres with hiking trails, bike paths, a scenic railroad, and a vast array of flora & fauna.
If you’re a golfer, you are only 8 min to Seneca, and 10 min to Sleepy Hollow and Briarwood Golf Courses.
