About Orchard Trail in Avon
Located in southwest Avon Ohio, Orchard Trail offers residents abundant greenspace, walking trails, and fountained fishing ponds.
This subdivision of 162 single-family and limited-maintenance detached cluster homes was built by Ryan Homes from 2004-2017.
Being a production-built community, elevations have a similar aesthetic. Facades are either full vinyl or accented with stone or brick.
Orchard Trail floorplans include ranch, cape cod, and 2-story homes. Ranches range from 1,400-4,400 square feet with 2–3 bedrooms and 2–3.5 bathrooms. Cape cods range from 2,100-3,200 square feet with 3–4 bedrooms and 2.5–4 bathrooms. Colonials range from 2,100-3,500+ square feet with 3–5 bedrooms and 2.5–4 bathrooms. All homes have attached front-load garages that accommodate 2-3 cars. Backyards offer custom stamped patios and firepits.
Each Ryan Home is “Built Smart” certified, saving you up to 30% on your energy bills.
Orchard Trail homesites range from 0.18 to 0.25 acres, making yardwork easily manageable for single-family homeowners (lawn care is taken care of for cluster homes).
Previously farmland, the development is flat and offers wide open vistas. Other than the treeline surrounding much of the development’s perimeter, privacy is achieved by privacy fencing or planted pines.
Some homes abut HOA-owned common area (yellow areas within the red border on map above), offering extended vistas, wooded backdrops, or fountained pond views.
Meandering around the greenspace is a mile of gravel walking paths, popular with trail runners or nature lovers.
NOTE: For those with sensitivities or concerns about visual encumbrance, high-voltage (HV) steel transmission towers run just beyond the west end of the development, on the opposite side of the train tracks.
There are two entrances to the community from Moon Rd: Woodland Trail and the main entrance of Courseview Drive. Each entrance has engraved masonry signage with lush landscaping and two-rail fencing.
In addition to the main/entrance streets of Woodland Trl and Courseview Dr, the community also encompasses the streets of Fieldstone Tr, Grove Ln, Hawthorne Dr, and Wheaton Dr.
There are tree lawn saplings, lantern-style streetlights, and curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street.
Mail is delivered to group mailboxes located between every few houses.
Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees for Orchard Trail’s single-family homes are approximately $500 annually.
Limited maintenance living is available for Orchard Trail Lifestyle Community cluster homes. Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees for these cluster homes, where snow removal and lawn care are done for you, are approximately $140 monthly.
Orchard Trail is connected to the neighboring community to the south, McIntosh Farms, via Woodland Trl.
Other nearby Avon communities include Amberwood just across the street on Moon Rd, Avondale off Detroit Rd, and Fairfield Estates and Stonebridge Creek off French Creek Rd.

Convenient Location
The subdivision of Orchard Trail in southwest Avon Ohio is located off the west side of Moon Rd between OH-254/Detroit Rd and French Creek Rd, along the border of Sheffield.
Commuting is a breeze, with access to I-90 in under 10 minutes.
The community is located close to Avon’s top-ranked schools (∼5 mins drive to Middle & High Schools; 8 mins to Early Learning Center; 10 mins to Heritage Elementary; 15 mins to East Elementary), making for easy morning drop-offs.
There are many nearby opportunities for activity and enjoyment. You are only 6 minutes from Veterans Memorial Park with 98 acres for outdoor recreation including walking trails, ponds, ball fields/courts, a playground, a dog park, restrooms, and two pavilions with picnic tables and grills. There’s also the nearby Miller Nature Preserve, offering nature lovers hiking trails, a seasonal butterfly house, and a 5,000-square-foot conservatory featuring orchids and various plant specimens from around the world. There’s also a visitor center with a gift shop, café, event hall, and an outdoor patio that hosts weekly music events during summertime. Come winter, the community center hosts art, cooking and card-making classes.
If you’re a golfer, there are a number of courses nearby: 10 min to Bob-O-Link and Valley of the Eagles Golf Club, 14 min to Sweetbriar and Cherry Ridge Golf Course, and 18 min to Hilliard Lakes.
There are also a number of private clubs in the vicinity: 14 min to Red Tail Golf Club and Avon Oaks Country Club, and 17 min to Lakewood Country Club.
If you desire a day at the beach, Huntington Reservation is just 20 minutes away!
As far as entertainment, there are plenty of options. Catch a minor league baseball game at Avon’s Crushers Stadium, home of the Lake Erie Crushers. On rainy days, you’ll find indoor entertainment for the whole family at Main Event, offering state-of-the-art bowling; more than 110 of the hottest interactive and video games; multi-level laser tag; regulation billiards and relaxing shuffleboard; and a bar & restaurant. There’s also Play: CLE, a 25,000 square foot indoor active entertainment center for all ages.
A plethora of shopping and dining options are nearby in Sheffield (7 min), Avon Commons (9 minutes), and Crocker Park (15 minutes).
