About The Reserve at Mass Estates in Avon

The Reserve at Mass Estates is a new construction community by Petros Homes in southeast Avon Ohio, located off the southern side of Schwartz Rd, between Nagel Rd and Bradley Rd.

The subdivision comprises the newly created streets of Mass Dr (main entrance/street) and Marie Park, as well as nine homes along Williams Ct. Marie Park currently terminates in a dead-end, which may be extended with future development opportunities.

The Reserve at Mass Estates homes were constructed beginning in 2022. Upon completion, the subdivision will include 37 homes. As of late 2023, there were still homesites remaining for new builds.

Petros Homes is offering eight customizable two-story, ranch and first-floor owner’s suite floor plans. Excluding finished basements, plans range from 2,400-3,700 square feet with 3-4 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms.

Elevations are Cratsman-inspired (modern farmhouse) with a combination of stone wrap, mixed-texture siding profiles, white window trim & fascia trim/rake board, and/or gable accents.

Homes are appointed with desirable amenities including hardwood flooring, two-story foyers, mudrooms with benches/cubbies, separate laundry rooms with utility tubs, planning center/pocket offices, formal dining rooms, private dens, and two-story great rooms with fireplaces that are open to kitchens with granite or quartz countertops, tile backsplash, center island with breakfast bar seating, walk-in pantry, dinette area, and even hearth/gathering rooms. Optional covered porches off the kitchen extend living outdoors. Owner’s suites (some are first-floor) include tray/vaulted ceilings, dual walk-in closets, and en-suite bathrooms with soaking tubs and/or tiled walk-in showers, double sink vanities, linen closets, and enclosed lavatories. Optional finished lower levels may include media rooms, billiard areas, bars, and exercise rooms. Attached side-entry garages accommodate 3-4 cars.

Previously used for agriculture, the topography of the development is flat.

Cleared homesites are 100′ wide and range from 1/3 to 1/2 acre. HOA-owned greenspace (yellow parcels on map above) are strategically placed to offer pond views and additional space between abutting homes.

This neighborhood is served by Avon Local School District.

Other nearby Avon communities include Stone Wheel Estates, Woodbridge Estates, and The Vineyards. You will also find some of Westlakes more affluent communities just down the street.

The community is surrounded by golf courses: Hilliard Lakes Golf Course is directly south of the community, Red Tail Golf Club is 5 min the southwest, Lakewood Country Club is 5 min northeast, Avon Oaks Country Club is 7 min north, Bob-o-Link is 8 min west, and Sweetbriar is 11 min north.

There are numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation. Schwartz Park (5 min) encompasses 67.8 acres with ball fields/courts, a playground, nature trails, and pavilions with picnic tables and grills. Bradley Nature Park in Westlake (4 min) is a 20-acre park on Bradley Road with a sledding hill, a tot playground, a pavilion, picnic tables and grills, a nature trail and restroom facilities. Bradley Woods Reservation (6 min), also in Westlake, has 828 acres of dense forests, 2+ miles of hiking trails, a fishing lake with surrounding walking path, picnic pavilion, greenspace, and monarch butterfly waystation. Avon’s Miller Nature Preserve (9 min) offers nature lovers hiking trails, a seasonal butterfly house, and a 5,000-square-foot conservatory featuring orchids and various plant specimens from around the world. There’s also a visitor center with a gift shop, café, event hall, and an outdoor patio that hosts weekly music events during summertime. Come winter, the community center hosts art, cooking and card-making classes. 

Great outdoor swimming is available at the Avon Aquatic Facility with pools, diving boards, a couple of killer twisty slides and a sprayground. The adjacent Avon Fitness Court is an outdoor freely accessible, multi-station bodyweight circuit training venue for all ages.

If you fancy a day at the beach, you’re only 15 minutes from the shores of Lake Erie at Huntington Beach.
