Woodmore Estates is a community of roughly 115 single-family homes in Avon, Ohio offering wooded backyards, direct access to Avon East Elementary School, and walking distance to Schwartz Park and Avon Welands trails.

This subdivision is located off the north side of Schwartz Rd, between Jaycox Rd and Nagel Rd. It comprises the residential streets of Beech Ln, Hickory Ct, N Sandy Ln, Persimmon Ln, and Spruce Ct.

This collection of colonial homes was built by C.J. Tom Builders and Ryan Homes from 1997-2000.

Homes in Woodmore Estates range from 2,000-3,200 above-grade square feet with 3-5 bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 bathrooms. Including finished basements, these homes can total 4,500 square feet.

First floor amenities and principal rooms include 9′ ceilings, hardwood or LVP floors, dramatic two-story foyers with open staircases, formal living & dining rooms, private dens, and fireplaced great rooms with vaulted ceilings that open to kitchens with breakfast bars and dinettes or morning rooms.

Vaulted owner’s suites (most are second floor) feature a large walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom with dual sinks, a soaking tub and walk-in shower.

Finished basements include rec rooms and bars.

Oversized garages accommodate 2-3 cars. Larger homesites may have side-entry garages.

Backyards are appointed with multi-tiered decks and custom stamped patios.

Backyard fences, pools and sheds are permitted.

Lots are approximately 100′ wide and range from 0.34 to 0.75 acres. There are also two larger lots measuring 1.37 and 1.39 acres.

Woodmore is truly a fitting name for this subdivision. Unlike most Avon communities that are completely void of mature trees, nearly every backyard is wooded with old-growth broadleafs, attracting songbirds and offering privacy, lush natural beauty, and shade for significantly cooler al-fresco enjoyment on your deck/patio during hot summer days.

Roughly a dozen homes surround a 2.04-acre parcel of HOA-owned greenspace (yellow section on illustrated map above).

This development has two entrances off Schwartz Rd: Spruce Ct and N Sandy Ln. The entrance to N Sandy Ln is decorated by a landscaped bed with signage.

Its streets are enhanced with lantern-style streetlights, flowering street trees, curbs, sidewalks on both sides of the street, and custom street signs at each intersection.

Spruce Ct and Hickory Ct have permanent cul-de-sacs.

Persimmon Ln is currently a dead-end street, which could be extended with future development opportunities.

🏫Avon East Elementary School (grades 1 & 2) is directly accessible via a paved walkway from the eastern Hickory Ct cul-de-sac, which leads to the field behind the school’s playground. Bussing is also provided to the school.

Homeowner’s Association (HOA) fees at Woodmore Estates are approximately $100 annually.

The subdivision of Hawkesbury Court abuts the east end of this development.

Woodmore Estates is located off the north side of Schwartz Rd, between Jaycox and Nagel Roads. This southeastern section of Avon, Ohio is surrounded by other subdivisions, golf courses, parks and pastures.

Woodmore Estates is ideally situated 1.3 miles south of I-90 – far enough to evade traffic noise, but accessible in under 10 minutes.

Directly across the street and walkable from the community is Schwartz Park with 67.8 acres, ball fields/courts, a playground, nature trails, and pavilions with picnic tables and grills.

Just down the road is Miller Nature Preserve with hiking trails, a seasonal butterfly house, and a 5,000-square-foot conservatory featuring orchids and various plant specimens from around the world. There’s also a visitor center with a gift shop, café, event hall, and an outdoor patio that hosts weekly music events during summertime. Come winter, the community center hosts art, cooking and card-making classes.

There are a number of golf courses nearby: 7 min to Bob-O-Link and Hilliard Lakes Golf Course, 8 min to Sweetbriar, 8 min to Meadowood, and 17 min to Springvale and Valley of the Eagles Golf Club.

If you desire a day at the beach, Huntington Reservation on Lake Erie is less than 15 minutes away.

The subdivision is 7 minutes from Avon Commons (Costco, Heinen’s grocery, GNC, Target, Kohl’s, Walmart, Home Depot, World Market, Michael’s, Marshall’s, Old Navy, Bath & Body Works, Famous Footwear, Panera, IHOP, Friday’s, Applebee’s). You’re 8 min from the sprawling open-air collection of restaurants, retail, entertainment & leisure at Crocker Park.

Avon East Elementary School is directly walkable from the community (or 4 min drive). Avon’s other top-rated schools are all nearby: Early Learning Center (8 min), High School (10 min), and Middle School (11 min).
