Arbor Acres is a single-street* community of 32 elegant luxury homes in central Avon, Ohio with treed backyards and direct access to the trails of Miller Nature Preserve (part of Lorain County Metro Parks).

This subdivision is located off the east side of Center Rd, roughly a half-mile south of Detroit Rd. It comprises Falcon Crest Ave (house numbers 35965-35998) and *Vine St (an impasse/stub street).

Homes were custom-built between 1997 and 2003 by builders including Galik Building.

Arbor Acres’ 1.5-story and 2-story homes range from 2,200–3,800 above-grade square feet with 4-5 bedrooms and 2.5-5 bathrooms. Including finished basements, these homes can total 4,800 square feet.

Facades feature Colonial Revival, Neo-Colonial and Transitional architecture, most constructed with full-brick or stone/brick accents.

First floor amenities and principal rooms include hardwood or LVP flooring, two-story foyers with open staircases and catwalks, private dens with glass-paned french doors and/or formal living rooms, formal dining rooms with tray ceilings, and large great rooms (some are vaulted/2-story) with gas fireplaces that open to kitchens with quartz/granite counters, a large island, breakfast bar, dining area, and even a sunroom or screened porch.

First or second floor owner’s suites have a large walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom equipped with dual sinks, a tiled walk-in shower, jetted/soaking tub, and enclosed commode.

Full finished lower levels may include living areas, billard areas, bars, wine cellars and/or gyms.

Oversized side-load garages accommodate 2-3 cars.

Custom-stamped patios and/or composite decks extend living outdoors.

Lots in Arbor Acres are approximately 100′ wide and range from 0.37 to 0.68 acres, most of which have treed or wooded backyards, attracting songbirds and offering privacy, lush natural beauty, and shade.

This aptly-named community also abuts wooded parcels to the south and forested parkland/greenspace to the east.

Nature lovers will appreciate direct access to Miller Nature Preserve via Pin Oak Trail (dashed red line on above-illustrated map), which is accessible from the end of Falcon Crest Ave. The trail meanders through forested parkland (designated in green on map above) and intersects additional trails.

The entrance to Falcon Crest Ave has a divided median with landscaping, community signage, and decorative pergolas.

Falcon Crest Ave is lined with lantern-style streetlights, street trees, curbs, and sidewalks.

Matching mailboxes make for a consistent streetscape.

Both Falcon Crest Ave and Vine St are dead-end streets. It is unlikely that the former would be extended, since it abuts Metroparks property.

The cross street of Arbor Dr adjoins the subdivision of Bentley Park.

Homeowners’ Association (HOA) fees at Arbor Acres are approximately $235 annually.

There’s also a visitor center with a gift shop, café, event hall, and an outdoor patio that hosts weekly music events during summertime.
